Austin and Caroline followed Belle. They entered the luxurious mansion.
The gigantic mansion was very spacious. Anyone would be mesmerized by the magnificent surroundings. The beautifully
landscaped garden was full of different plants, flowers and trees. There were also man-made hills and ponds on both sides of the
mansion. The long corridors were full of amazing ornaments that would definitely brighten your day. This place was a paradise!
They quietly followed Belle as they walked along one of the corridors. At the end of it, they entered a room that seemed to be a
study.
Inside the room was a middle-aged man dressed like a Confucian scholar. He looked wise and sophisticated, sitting on his desk as if
waiting for someone to cin.
Despite his gentle appearance, the noble and solemn aura in the man's personality was undeniable. He possessed a characteristic
that only belonged to those who were in the highest rank. His eyes sparkled an awe-inspiring glint.
"Where have you been, Belle? Have you any idea how much I've been worried about you? You just disappeared all of a sudden!"
said the man immediately when he recognized his visitor.
"You just took off without even leavinga note! I've even sent a lot of servants to find you but they all failed."
The man stood from his desk and continued, "Come. Pack you things and get ready. We're heading back to the capital. We don't
have much tleft. You will telleverything later, on our way home."
There was a trace of anger in his voice.
This middle-aged man was Samuel Xiao, Belle's father.

"Dad, do we really need to go back in such a hurry?" Belle started to complain.
"What about the Dragon Immortal's mansion? We call the way here for it! Are you just going to leave without exploring it?"
added Belle.
She was actually surprised by her father's decision and she was hoping that she could still change it.
"What else can | do? The three holy lands and the three families have already sealed the Black-wind Beast World. Their people are
everywhere. There's nothing much we can do about it." The middle-aged man looked irritated.
"It may sound shameful but | must admit that | am no match for them. We will get into a big trouble if we continue to stay here,
especially if we go to the Dragon Immortal's palace. Forget it, Belle. We can never win against those people."
Belle could sense sadness and frustration from her father's voice, so she remained silent.
He then continued, "There's another reason why | really want to go back immediately. | got a news from your grandpa that he
sensed something unusual in the capital. The grand prince seems to be planning something. Your grandpa needsthere to help
him."
Samuel looked graved when he said those words.
"l understand, dad." Bella nodded after hearing her father's explanation. She was surprised to know that a lot of elements were
hindering them from exploring the Dragon Immortal cave.
That was the only tSamuel noticed Belle was not alone. "Who are they?" asked he pointing to Austin and Caroline.
Austin and Caroline were put under Samuel's scrutiny.
Both of them felt something unusual and terrifying. Samuel's gaze was suffocating them. They froze and couldn't move even a
single finger. Breathing suddenly becso difficult that they felt they would die any moment. Even the energy in their energy
meridians stopped running and was also frozen.
Austin's and Caroline's faces turned white as snow.
They didn't expect Samuel to be this powerful. Just his gaze could kill people.
"Stop doing that to them, dad." Belle knew how powerful his father's gaze was.
"This young man was the one who savedin the Black-wind Beast World, and the woman is his companion."
She was worried that her father would put Austin and Caroline's lives in danger, so she immediately introduced them to Samuel.
"Oh, so you were the man who saved my daughter," confirmed Samuel. This this gaze softened.
"I'm sorry. | didn't mean to be rude. And thank you for helping my daughter."
This tSamuel's lips curved into a smile. He nodded at Austin with a look of gratitude in his eyes.
Austin and Caroline breathed a sigh of relief. They thought it was already their end.
Now their tensed bodies finally relaxed.
It was as if a huge burden was removed from their shoulders.
"There is no need to apologize, sir".

Austin cupped his hands to show respect towards Samuel. Caroline followed his gesture as well.
Although Austin didn't know the exact position of Samuel in the Solamnia Kingdom, he was fully aware that the latter was one of
the high-ranking officials in the court so he addressed him as "sir" to show respect.
Moreover, he was really astonished with the man's power.
Based on their experience earlier, Austin and Caroline knew that Samuel could kill them for a split second if he wanted to.
"I must repay your kindness in saving my daughter, so please cwith us to the capital of Solamnia Kingdom." Samuel offered
his invitation.
After Belle explained everything that happened in the Black-wind Beast World, Samuel's attitude towards them had changed.
The fierce look was gone. His face showed a friendly expression and his words sounded amiable.
"Don't worry, I'll protect you all the way to the capital," assured Samuel.
He owed his daughter's life from this man, so he should treat them well.
"Thank you very much for the offer, sir. It will be our pleasure to go with you if we won't cause you any troubles." Austin accepted
the offer because he felt that Samuel was sincere.
He was glad that the man didn't see them as enemies anymore.
After all, who would want to be an enemy to such a powerful man? He even felt honored that a capable warrior like Samuel was
treating him in a polite and amiable manner.
"All right, let's set out immediately. We need to go back to the capital as soon as possible," said Samuel as he led them out of the
study.
