Chapter 1575 A Dinner Plan
Aurora seemed remarkably more radiant than before, though she wasn’t exactly as lively.
“Mhm,” she mumbled with an obviously lethargic tone. “I must be getting old. Can’t even endure a night without
sleep. When I was young, I could go two days without sleeping. Not only was I not feeling tired, but I was thrilled.
Now, I just can’t anymore. I can’t.”
Cindy forced a smile and replied, “Can’t compare yourself now and then. I’d always pull an all-nighter to study back
when I was in school, which I clearly can’t now. I’d have a migraine whenever I miss my sleep.”
As she was speaking, she tried her best not to face Ian. For reasons unknown, she would feel guilty if she were to
look at him.
Whenever that particular idea flashed across her mind, she would instantly feel embarrassed to face him.
After all, it was a taboo for an assistant to fall for the celebrity they were serving. Hannah had even revealed that
she bore no concern for Cindy as she would never fall for him.
And remembering that got her anxious.
Ian, having noticed nothing odd, joined the ladies on the couch.
Slightly disappointed, he said, “My schedule was always full, and I was always tired. Now that I have nothing to do,
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtI’m still as tired.”
Aurora nodded. “Yup. When I was big back then, having performances every day was pretty draining. Then, as my
fame faded, so did my workload, and that allowed me more time to rest, which was surprisingly tiring.”
Meanwhile, Cindy pursed her lips, not knowing what to say. In fact, given her perturbed mind, she preferred some
alone time to organize her thoughts.
However, she couldn’t go back to her room because Aurora was right beside her.
And so, the three of them sat side by side as Cindy listened to the other two chattering, though she didn’t pay
attention to anything they said.
Aurora crossed her legs on the couch, seeming as if she was absolutely devastated.
After a while, Cindy’s phone suddenly rang. Dazed, she grabbed her phone and found the caller to be Gary.
Truthfully, she had already guessed why Gary would call her.
After hesitating for a bit, she answered the call.
As expected, Gary hurriedly said, “I saw the news. Are you fine over there?”
Cindy lay against the couch’s arm. “Nothing special so far, except that we had put all activities on hold, so we’re
just resting at home.”
Gary let out a sigh. “I never thought things would escalate to this extent. That’s how the entertainment industry is,
so don’t take it to heart. It’s only natural for big stars to draw such huge attention. But people are forgetful. Give it
some time, and they’ll surely start to forget about it.”
Regardless, Cindy wasn’t so sure whether the mass would forget about it. Indeed, humans were forgetful beings,
but that wasn’t the case for the internet. As long as one soul in the world remembered it and decided to look into it,
problems could easily be stirred up again.

Gery then proceeded to quiz, “Whet ebout Ien’s egency? They’re gonne releese e stetement ebout it soon, right?”

She glanced at Ian and Aurora from the corner of her eyes and answered, “Yup. Only time will shut them up.”
Gary then proceeded to quiz, “What about Ian’s agency? They’re gonna release a statement about it soon, right?”
Nonetheless, Cindy hadn’t inquired about how the agency would handle the situation. As she thought about it, Ian
should know some things about it, but not too much.
I suppose the agency must be finding it overwhelming given the immense spread of the scandal.
She stutteringly replied, “They should be managing it, though I’m not too clear about the progress. We’re currently
waiting to be notified.”
Gary should be rather free, as he didn’t seem to be in a hurry to end the call.
He questioned, “Does that mean you don’t have much on your plate right now? As in you’re free?”
Acknowledging the underlying meaning behind his words, she smilingly countered, “Are you free? If you are, I gotta
treat you to a meal. I’ve offered to do that before, but I never got the chance to. It’s been troubling my mind since
then.”
In a welcoming tone, Gary replied, “I have some time tonight. Let’s find a place if you’re free.”
