Chapter 633 Is Avery My Biological Daughter
Allie's words hit Claire like a sledgehammer to the heart.
Finding her biological daughter has been a lifelong wish of Claire's.
She grabbed Allie's arm in excitement and asked incoherently, “W-What? What did you say? Where is my daughter?
Allie, as long as you tell me where my daughter is, I assure you that your son's corporate project will run smoothly!”
Allie frowned in displeasure and forcefully brushed Claire's hand off. “There's no need to get so worked up just
because you found out where your daughter is, Claire. Are you trying to crush my arm or something?”
Claire stared at Allie's arm, which had turned red from her grip, and apologized. “I'm sorry; I didn't mean to. I just
wanted to know where my daughter is. Can you please tell me?”
Claire's gentle and captivating eyes were filled with helplessness and anticipation when she said that. For some
reason, Allie felt conflicted when she saw that look.
The two of them essentially grew up together. To her, Claire had always been a prideful person who never begged
anyone for anything.
As Allie had always been overshadowed by Claire, her greatest wish was to see Claire lower herself before her.
At that very moment, however, she felt no satisfaction whatsoever upon seeing Claire pleading with her.
In fact, she felt particularly embarrassed when she looked into Claire's eyes.
In an attempt to mask her feelings of embarrassment, Allie cleared her throat and replied in her calmest voice
possible, “Years ago, out of jealousy toward you, I had indeed conspired with Yara to swap your biological daughter.
I admit that I wronged you. I initially intended to abandon the baby, but when I saw the pure look in her eyes, my
heart softened. I couldn't bring myself to abandon her. Instead, I brought her home.”
Allie was trying really hard to recall the events from over twenty years ago.
Back then, she was going to abandon Claire's daughter. However, Allie was moved when she saw the baby smiling

residence.
Little did she know, that act of compassion would eventually lead to a disaster in the future.
When that baby girl grew up, she ended up dating Allie's son.
Allie had no idea if she should laugh or cry at how things turned out.
Claire gripped the blanket tightly and held her breath in anticipation as she asked, “Where is my child now? Is she
all right?”
Downstairs, Nicole was carefully tiptoeing her way upstairs while carrying a tray with two steaming-hot cups of
coffee.
She felt that something was amiss, so she decided to find out what was going on while delivering coffee to her
mother.
Right as she was about to knock on the door, she heard her mother speaking with a sob. Nicole perked up her ears
and withdrew her hand from the door without knocking.
Her child? Who is her child?
Nicole's hand trembled, causing her to spill some of the coffee from the cup, but she was too preoccupied to worry
about it.
She was completely engrossed in eavesdropping on the conversation inside the room.
“That child is doing well now. You've seen her more than once, and she is already married.”
Allie couldn't help but feel angry whenever she thought about her son taking great care of Avery.
“Not only does she currently work in a huge company, but she's also married to the greatest man in the city and
has given birth to two beautiful children. She's even expecting another one now. I would say she is living a life of
luxury, Claire. Your daughter is truly blessed.”
For a second there, Claire felt utterly confused about what Allie had just said. She couldn't quite understand who
Allie was talking about.
“You're saying that I've met that child? Why don't I have the slightest recollection of meeting her, then? What's her
name? What does she look like?” she asked in confusion.
“You're usually so smart, and yet, you always make mistakes when it comes to finding your daughter. How could
you be so silly, Claire? Think long and hard about the people you've met, Claire. Which one of them resembles you
the most in terms of appearance?” Allie replied with a hint of disdain in her voice.
Avery clearly resembles Claire a lot in terms of her appearance, so why can't she figure it out?
When Allie first laid eyes on Avery, who was all grown up, she was so shocked that her jaw dropped on the spot.
After all, the resemblance in their looks and temperament was uncanny. As such, it was interesting how Claire, the
person in question, had failed to realize that resemblance herself.
Nicole was frozen in shock when she heard their conversation from outside the door.
It felt as though her head was about to explode with all that new information.
She knew that Allie was referring to Avery.
Nicole had initially thought that Avery's background would be concealed forever. However, to her surprise, Allie had
casually revealed it in a conversation with Claire.
As though she had been plunged into an ice bath, Nicole felt a chill down her spine and shivered all over. She
couldn't help but feel as though everything she had painstakingly kept hidden was now exposed.
She had gone through so much trouble to erase all evidence of Avery's origins, all to prevent something like this
from happening.
However, the truth was still revealed in the end.
At that very moment, Nicole felt defeated, anxious, and uneasy. Above all, she was filled with fear for what the

What should I do if Avery returns to the Lambert family?
Nicole even felt an urge to recklessly rush into the room and shut Allie's mouth up so that she would keep the
secret to herself.
However, she knew deep down that it was already too late for her to try and stop Allie.
Upon hearing Allie's hint, Claire, who was lying in bed, strained to recall which woman bore a resemblance to
herself.
Suddenly, an image of a gentle and beautiful woman popped into her mind, causing her heart to race
uncontrollably.
Could it be Avery?
She recalled how Silvia had mentioned to her more than once that Avery resembled her. When the two of them
appeared together, even the doctors and nurses were surprised by their similar appearances and often mistook
them for being mother and daughter.
Claire slowly lifted her eyes and asked anxiously, “Is it Avery, Allie? Tell me, is Avery my biological daughter?”
Unlike Claire, who was all excited, Allie appeared calm and composed.
She picked up her bag, glanced at Claire, and said, “That's all I have to say. Anyway, I need to get going now. You've
already learned most of the truth, so I hope you can keep your word, Claire. If you don't, just know that I have
plenty of ways to deal with your daughter. After all, she is now my daughter-in-law, isn't she?”
Having said that, Allie stood up and began walking away.
Upon opening the door, she saw Nicole standing awkwardly outside with two cups of coffee in her hands.
Allie paused in surprise for a moment, but chose to ignore her and proceeded to head downstairs.
“Allie, don't leave yet! I have so many more questions to ask you!” Claire exclaimed when she saw Allie walk away.
She then desperately got out of bed and tried to chase after Allie, but her body was far too frail to do so.
That, coupled with her emotional agitation, caused Claire to lose her balance and fall off the bed instead.
