Chapter 745

Isaac stepped inside.

Brittany couldn’t be bothered to fuss over him. “There are disposable slippers in the shoe cabinet. Help yourself.”

She walked into the kitchen and tasted the simmering rib stew she had been working on. She was rather pleased

with her culinary

skills.

Isaac had been here a couple of times before, but this was the first time he had taken a good look around.

While the house wasn’t as grand as the one at Radiant Residences, it certainly lived up to the term ‘mansion.’

The seven-meter-high living room was luxurious and decorated according to Brittany’s tastes. On the large sofa sat

Daniel’s favorite teddy bear, and the coffee table was adorned with a fruit bowl and a selection of pastries.

As he looked around, he noticed that the entire room was filled with vases of sunflowers. Their bright colors

blended with the surroundings and brought the room to life.

Isaac shifted his gaze as he bent down and opened the shoe cabinet. Inside were Daniel and Brittany’s shoes, with

the disposable slippers on the bottom shelf.

The package had been recently opened, so the slippers inside were barely touched.

It seemed that not many visitors came here, apart from him. This realization brought a pleasant smile to his face.

So many people were charmed by her, like William and Lucas.

She didn’t even realize how much she attracted people.

After putting on the slippers, he walked further into the house.

Brittany had had a drink, so her stomach wasn’t feeling great. She came out of the dining room with a bowl of stew

and saw Isaac standing in the living room.

She paused. “What do you want?”

He wouldn’t go home and insisted on coming in. Now that he was here, why was he just standing?

Isaac’s gaze was dark and deep. “I haven’t eaten yet.” He said while licking his lips as he looked at the rib stew.

The stew was clear, and she had garnished it with chopped green onions, making it look quite appetizing.

Ever since their final divorce, he hadn’t tasted anything Brittany had made.

Brittany was an excellent cook, and although he was used to exotic delicacies, he still craved the simple meals she

made.

He was practically drooling.

Brittany hadn’t intended to cater to him, but to her surprise, he looked uncharacteristically embarrassed.

She chuckled and pointed to the kitchen. “Help yourself.”

She didn’t mind sharing the stew; after all, he was Daniel’s father. If he actually starved, she would have a hard

time explaining this to her

son.

Isaac was surprised when she agreed. He was overjoyed and a bit hesitant. “Alright.”

He walked into the kitchen, where the stew was still simmering, filling the room with a tantalizing aroma.

He served himself a bowl and took it to the dining room.

Brittany had already started eating. The pure aroma of the stew was irresistible.

She was slender and looked relaxed as she took her first spoonful.

For a moment, he seemed to be transported five years back in time. He was expecting her to turn around at any

moment and call him “Zakky” with a beaming smile and chatter about how successful her stew was.

But he knew better than anyone that the Brittany of today was nothing like she was five years ago.

While looking at her back, Isaac swallowed hard. After a while, he pulled up a chair, sat down, and asked, “About the

hospital…”

“Emily is there.

Isaac took a sip of the stew. It was just like he remembered, completely intoxicating.

From the start, he had always appreciated Brittany’s cooking skills. Now, it seemed like a luxury he could only

dream of.

“I heard you started a new project with Wesley.” Brittany knew about this. She was quite close to Wesley.

“Yes.” Isaac’s gaze lowered. “I should thank you

“For what?”
