“Then who am I?" Rhea asked.

"My master," Mike answered after hesitating for a moment.

Rhea narrowed her eyes to study him. "Really? But you don't seem to listen to my instructions."

"You're my master, but you still need to do what you promised." Mike frowned. "The boss used to let me

see my son over video calls, but now I have no news of him. You—"

"He's dead," Rhea suddenly said.

Stunned, Mike said, "What did you say?"

"I said..." Rhea said emphatically, "He's dead. Your son is already dead."

"Wh-what?" Mike's voice quivered.

"That's a lie! Nicky. Nicky's fine."

"I'm not lying. Fred killed your son," Rhea sighed and said, "I didn't tell you about it because I was

worried that it would be too huge a blow to you. However, since you insisted on knowing, I guess you

would find out sooner or later. Just know that I won't be able to help you because he's dead."

"No, that's not possible! Why would he kill a child? Fred could have just given Nicky back to me if he

was no longer useful to him. They promised me." Overwhelmed by the news, Mike kept muttering in a

daze that it was impossible.

Rhea hadn't told him before this because she knew this would happen. However, now that Nick was

going to die sooner or later, she thought she might as well tell him.

Also, she decided to make Mike feel miserable because he had upset her.

"My condolences," Rhea said with a sigh, "But being sad is better than being kept in suspense, isn't it?

Give it to me."

As she tried to take his phone, Mike caught himself and held it down. "You're lying!"

"I'm not." Taken back, Rhea said, "Mike, is this how you should be talking to me?"

She tried to test if Mike had woken up from his hypnotic state. Mike stiffened and asked, "Where's my

son's body?"

"Well." After some hesitation, Rhea said, "Overseas. He was always there, wasn't he?"

Having regained his senses, he asked logically, "Then how do you know he's dead?"

Rhea said, "Fred told me he killed your son, all right? Get over it. I know you're sad, but you can always

have another child, can't you?" She didn't think losing a son was a big deal at all.

"So you've never seen him dead with your own eyes, right?" Mike continued.
