"N-No, no, no. We're not." Hannah waved her hand and looked toward Ralph. "I don’t like diamond rings."

wearing it because Ralph actually bought it for Heather, and not her.
'What do you like then?" Ralph asked patiently.
"I..." She did not know what she liked as well.

Following the direction of her gaze, Ralph came to realize something. "You like earrings, don’t you?"
"I don't. I'm just looking around." Subconsciously, she rubbed her earlobe. How would she be able to
wear them? She did not even have pierced ears.
The sales advisor seemed to have noticed her concern and said, "The earrings these days have the
classic type for pierced ears, as well as the clip-on type as well. You don't need to have pierced ears to
wear them."
"Really?" Hannah asked in surprise.
Smiling, the sales advisor nodded and then took two pairs of earrings for her from underneath the
counter. "This is the clip-on type. You may try it and see if it is to your liking."
The earrings were clip-on types, and they were even pearl earrings which she liked. It was pretty and
she could not stop looking at them in the mirror.
Ralph could tell that she liked them. "Let's get it if you like them, but... they're kinda cheap."
'That's good!" Hannah did not understand why they must purchase the expensive ones. The most
important thing was her liking it, right?
He did not expect to hear such words from Hannah and it made him overjoyed. Initially, he thought that
he would need to spend a huge sum of money, but he did not expect her to be so easily satisfied. 'She
sure doesn’t ask for much.’
Seeing her gesturing in front of the mirror, cautiously putting the earrings next to her ears but not daring
to wear them made him smile, thinking that it was a little hilarious.
"I'll check out the clip-on pearl earrings for you, shall I?" the sales advisor asked, knowing how to read
the room.
"Hold on." Ralph's gaze averted upward as a thought popped up in his head. "Could she get her ears pierced here?"

purchase any earrings from our collection."
"... I don't want to pierce my ears," Hannah mumbled out of fear of pain.
'There are more selections of earrings if you have pierced ears. I can buy you more earrings in the future too. Do you like any other types of
jewelry, or do you only like earrings? The clip-on types don't seem too great though. Look at your ears, they're already red. If you needed to
put them on for a long time, they might fall off in the process, or even become broken."
Then, he proceeded to persuade her in a soft voice, "Piercing ears are painless now and it won't hurt too much. Trust me on this. Your
earlobes are going to be even prettier once you have them pierced!"
The sales advisor did not understand what he meant in the first place, but once she came to realize it, she agreed immediately, "Ma'am, he’s
right. In fact, it's not going to hurt at all, and you’ll have more choices of earrings when you have your ears pierced. Your ears will be
permanently pierced and you can get them done for free at our store."
