Ross found it hard to accept.

Still, Yasmin looked at him without remorse. She said blandly, "Yes, I knew. I also knew about Fred

telling Rhea to hypnotize you and get you to look for me in Hyderland’s mountainous area. I even

thought it was stupid of you to fall for it."

Nodding, Ross said, "Indeed, I was stupid enough to believe that you needed help."

The queen was stumped. After a moment of silence, she slowly said, "I have my reasons."

"You didn't want me to get in your way and ruin your experiment, did you?" Ross glared at her. He

wanted to know if she was indeed behind everything.

Yasmin sighed and said, "Yes."

Her candid answer was a massive blow to Ross. He never expected her to admit it. If she denied it, he

would try to believe her. Instead, she admitted it.

"Ross, my child... You have no idea how miserable I've been for the past several years." Yasmin

palmed her forehead and murmured, "I couldn't sleep, and my health has worsened. I feel like I'm dying

soon. I often feel overwhelmed. You don't know what it's like."

She doubted a robust middle-aged man her son could understand how she felt. Therefore, she never
