Winnie felt as though she was slowly deprived of air as her chest tightened.

It looks like Harold is going to choke me to death today. I’m an ordinary person who’ll meet my demise

one day, but I refuse to die today, let alone die in that b*stard Harold’s hands!

As she didn’t have any weapons, she reached out and grabbed a handful of soil, hurling it at Harold’s

eyes.

Although the soil itself isn’t harmful, human eyes are vulnerable. When a foreign object enters the eye,

it tends to trigger an instinctive reaction.

As expected, Harold released his grip on Winnie’s neck and reached up to touch his eyes.

Winnie grabbed the chance to struggle and sit up, then deftly slipped out from under Harold’s body.

After sitting up, she noticed an iron rod behind her.

Harold’s eyes were still shut, so she quickly grabbed the iron rod and hit him.

However, she didn’t injure his vital organs, as he couldn’t die yet.

If he were to die, it was highly probable that no one would know where he placed the remaining bombs.

Should someone accidentally set off one of the explosives, the repercussions would be catastrophic.

With all her might, Winnie hit Harold’s arm and back repeatedly.

Harold had to cover his head with his hands and couldn’t find the opportunity to fight back.

Winnie wanted to break his legs so he couldn’t escape.

However, at that moment, Winnie felt an object pressed against the back of her head, causing her to

stop hitting Harold.

Someone spoke in Manchernian, which she understood. “Stop! Put the rod down, or I’ll kill you with one

shot!”

Winnie instantly realized this man was Harold’s ally.

The moment she stopped, Harold slowly got to his feet.

His expression contorted in hatred as he glared at Winnie.

Clenching his jaw, he snarled, “You had fun hitting me, right? Unfortunately, it’s now my turn!”

He reached to his back and pulled out a gun, pointing it at Winnie’s forehead.

“Stall for time. Reinforcements have arrived. You have to make it out safely!” James’ anxious voice

rang out in her earpiece.

That wasn’t the first time someone had pointed a gun at Winnie’s head, but she still couldn’t help but

gulp nervously.

She did her best to even her breathing and stared at the gun barrel. “Are you planning on killing me this

way? It’s quicker than choking me to death.”

“Ha! You’re going to die soon. I can’t believe you’re still in the mood to talk nonsense,” Harold said with

a smirk, his voice dripping with disdain. The ugly scar on his face trembled as he added, “What are you

trying to do? Stall for time? Do you think I’m blind? I know that police have been tailing you all the

while!”

With that, he removed Winnie’s earpiece and tossed it on the ground, stomping on it forcefully several

times.

“So what if the police are helping you? They have no choice but to watch you die! It seems that you’re

not afraid of death anyway. You’ve piqued my interest, so I’m going to play a game with you.” He waved

his gun. “See? This is a revolver which holds up to six cartridges.” He opened the magazine. “There

are three bullets inside. If I fire, you’ll have a fifty percent chance of dying. That is too high a probability,

so it’s not fun at all.”

As he spoke, he removed two bullets right in front of Winnie.

Winnie gazed at him silently. She wanted to know what he was up to.

Indeed, Harold added, “Okay, now there is one bullet left. Your chance of dying is now one in six. Isn’t

that fun? Want to have a go at it?”

Winnie sneered, “If I say no, will you release me?”

“Of course not!” Harold shoved Winnie until her back banged into the wall. “You have no choice but to

play the game!”

Winnie glared at him. “If this is a game, then it isn’t fair at all. You can’t be firing shots at me alone. You

have to join in the game, right? Otherwise, it won’t be exciting at all.”

“You’re trying to provoke me, huh?” Harold brushed the tip of his tongue against his lower gum ridge.

“Do you think you’re in the position to bargain with me now?”

“Oh, but I can.” Winnie gazed at his wrist and chuckled. “You want to play a game, and I don’t mind

since I’ll be at your mercy. If you don’t have the courage to play with me, then have your subordinate

join me instead. It’ll still be thrilling for you, won’t it?”

Harold narrowed his eyes as the crazy side of him had been awakened. “Sounds like a good idea.” He

handed his gun to his subordinate. “Go ahead.”

“Wait,” Winnie said suddenly.

Harold couldn’t help but taunt, “Why? Are you afraid? I thought you were brave!”

“Of course not. I want to make things clear. If I accidentally kill your subordinate, you can’t blame me

for his death.”

“Of course.” Harold pinched Winnie’s cheek. “I won’t be a sore loser. If he dies, that means he isn’t

lucky enough. Let’s start.”

“Okay!” Winnie glanced at him. “You should keep a distance from us. You don’t want my brain juice to

splatter on your face, do you?”

“Sure!” Harold shrugged and retreated two steps back.

He then exchanged guns with his subordinate.

His subordinate immediately pointed that revolver at Winnie.

Winnie appeared composed, but inwardly, she was nervous.

It’s too near. If the bullet is fired, I cannot dodge it. But there is a one-in-six chance, so I don’t think I’ll

get unlucky today.

She stared at the man in front of her, and Harold fixed his gaze on her.

The man pulled the trigger with a click.

However, no bullet shot out.

Winnie heaved a sigh of relief and stretched her hand out. “It’s my turn now.”

The man glanced at Harold and got his approval before handing the revolver to Winnie.

Winnie held the revolver and aimed it at him.

Right before she was about to pull the trigger, she suddenly pointed the revolver in Harold’s direction.

Without hesitation, she fired five rounds.

With six cartridges and one bullet, firing six rounds would ensure that the bullet was discharged.
