night. But | kept moving, kept pulling. | heard a scream go up, and | felt someone rush in, but | focused on the
blood. | traced it to another body, and another. Cries of pain, of relief rang out tand tagain, but | kept

“Amy. | love you.” Rowan’s words were soft. “Never forget that.” His arms dropped away, and | wanted to turn, to
check, to make sure he was okay, but there was a loud crack that rang out.
