Reborn Omega: Avenge Herself Like an Alpha
Chapter 173 Dinner at the Birkins
Aubrey’s POV
Finished
I hesitated, uncomfortable with the idea of visiting someone’s home. I'd never had a habit of
dropping by uninvited, and being around unfamiliar people always puta little on edge.
But | had underestimated Tammy’s persistence. In the end, | had no choice but to call Alpha Henry.
“1 might be hlate tonight,” | told him.
“What happened?” he asked immediately.
“It’s nothing serious,” | replied evenly. “I made a friend and I’m going to her house... to hang out.”
“Friend?” His voice sharpened at that.
“Mm...” | didn’t elaborate.
A pause, and then, “All right. Have fun. Callwhen you’re on your way back and I'll send someone
to pick you up. Perry’s at the school too-I’ll have him follow you.”
“That’s not necessary. Taking people along is over the top. I'll just have dinner and cback.
Don’t worry.”

With that, | hung up.
The moment | stepped into the Birkin household, | felt a prickle along my spine-the Birkins were almost too
warm in their welcome. Unlike other werewolf families, they had no swarm of servants—just a hfull of
harmony and laughter.
Sensing genuine goodwill, | relaxed a little, though nothing in my expression showed it.
We chatted briefly before dinner. Tammy's older brother and sister weren't home, so the table was smaller
than it could have been.
Her parents clearly knew | was the alpha’s newly acknowledged sister and that Henry favored me. They treated
omega. They treated me... as an equal.
And that was enough.
| understood then why Tammy was the way she was. It’s hard to raise a bad child in a hthat warm.
Dinner passed pleasantly.
Because I'm not used to such settings, | excused myself early. | did tell Tammy sincerely that I'd visit again, and |
declined the family’s offer to sendhome.
Just before | left, Mrs. Birkin smiled and said, “My son’s not here today, but next t| can introduce you. He
once wanted to major in medical research—you’d have a lot to talk about.”
Tammy grinned. “Yes, Aubrey! My brother's super handsome! And he’s great at making money!”
“All right,” | said with a small nod before heading out.
Outside, | exhaled a long breath.

Chapter 173 Dinner at the Birkins
The night sky was scattered with stars, and the faint scent of flowers drifted through the air, making everything
feel calm and easy.
| didn’t expect Perry to step out from around the corner.
“Ms. Aubrey, let's go home. The alpha is waiting in the car.”
Startled, | blurted, “He's here too?!”

I climbed in to find Alpha Henry indeed seated inside, a stack of documents in his hand. One glance
toldthey were Birkin family records.
Noticing my gaze, he set the file aside and said seriously, “You’ve just joined the Miguel family, and
already people are being this warm to you. I got worried, so | came.”
His words caughtoff guard, though my face stayed impassive.
Henry looked atwith a faint smile. Even in the dimness, his features were striking.
1 felt as if he could see right throughand quickly changed the subject. “How’s your treatment
going?”
I knew there couldn’t be results so soon. Without a living test subject like me, research into the
Kajit virus would be slow and difficult.
Henry’s voice deepened. “Pretty good. But you-givingacupuncture every three days, isn’t that
too much? You're still injured.”
I shook my head. “I’m fine.”
His lips looked a little pale, and I asked quietly, “Does it hurt a lot?”
I remembered clearly-although | was only a latent carrier of the Lupine virus, | couldn’t escape its
complications, and | knew exactly what they felt like.
The more you take medicine and undergo treatment, the worse the pain becomes.
Near the end, a simple touch felt like being cut with a knife.
It occurred tothen that I’d never once thought of finding a way to ease Henry’s pain...
