Chapter 31
All the students in the cafeteria jumped in shock.
They saw a tall, middle-aged man in a suit. He still looked handsome and charming for his
age.
“D*mn, who’s that? He gave me such a big shock.”
“Hang on. He looks kind of familiar…”
“Isn’t that Jack Fowler, the Emeritus Chairman of Fowler Corporation? He’s also our school’s
donor!”
“D*mn it. He’s a legend in the business world. I never thought I’d see him in person. I must
take a picture first!”
“Didn’t Mr. Fowler just yell for Jane Fowler? Isn’t she the biological daughter the Fowler
family lost 19 years ago? But Mr. Fowler looks very angry.”
Even Lila was shocked.
“Mama mia, he almost scared me to death,” Lila said.
She quickly calmed her heart.
When Lila saw that it was Jack Fowler, her heart tightened. “Janie, isn’t that Mr. Fowler?”
Judging by Jack’s menacing look, he had not come there in peace.
Lila suddenly felt very nervous and looked at Jane.
Jane opened her m*uth and was about to say something.
At that moment, Jack followed everyone’s gaze and saw Jane.
He immediately rushed toward Jane.
All the students who were eating around Jane and Lila quickly scrambled
aside.
They quietly took out their phones and waited for a good show.
When Jack saw that Jane was eating, his anger rose instantly.
“You’re eating? How could you still be in the mood to eat? I’ll make you eat!”
He was so furious that he flipped Jane’s food to the ground.
Some bits of food landed on Jane’s and Lila’s clothes.
“Oh no…”
Lila was wearing a skirt with a pair of wh*te stockings.
Some of the juices from the food splashed onto Lila’s stockings.
It was a little scalding.
Jane’s eyes turned icy cold instantly.
She slammed her hands on the table and stood up.
“Jack Fowler, have you fu*king lost your mind?”

up to him and yell at him. “How, how dare you speak to me like this?” he yelled back. “Jane
Fowler, you’ve become too bold!”
Jane ignored Jack and showed Lila concern first. “Lila, are you ok?”
“I’m fine,” Lila said. “I got a little scalded.”
Instead, Lila was more worried about Jane.
Jack had indeed come for Jane without any good intentions.
“Dad!”
Just then, Dwayne walked into the cafeteria and saw what happened. He quickly went over
and pulled his father back.
“Dad, calm down,” Dwayne said. “We’re on campus. Don’t create a scene here. Let’s talk
somewhere…”
“How can I calm down?” Jack replied. “Peter is still lying unconscious in the school clinic,
and it’s all Jane’s fault!”
Jack stared furiously at Jane.
It was as if the woman before him was not his daughter, his own flesh and blood.
Instead, she was an enemy with whom he had a deep grudge.
Jane frowned without leaving creases on her face.
Peter was lying unconscious?
Hmph.
He was really useless.
She had only insulted him a bit. Could he not take it and pass out?

Jane had endured so many years of the Fowler family’s physical and psychological abuse,
yet she had not collapsed.
What right did Peter have to collapse?
“What? Peter Fowler is…”
Lila could not help but feel stunned too.
Didn’t Jane say everything was fine?
Why did Peter faint?
“That’s none of my business,” Jane said. “Jack Fowler, are you insinuating that I hit Peter
and knocked him unconscious?”
“You don’t have the guts to hit Peter because you’re afraid of being beaten to death! But
Maddie said that Peter had fainted after seeing you. It was Larry who found Peter and
carried him to the school clinic!” Jack shouted. “What on earth did you do to Peter that
made him collapse like that? Jane Fowler, I want an answer from you,” Jack said fiercely.
Jack’s chest was heaving, and his handsome face had turned bright red from anger.
If eyes could k*ll, Jane would have probably died a million times now. “Dad…” Dwayne said.
To the other students, he yelled, “All of you, stop filming! Get out!”
As a professional fighter, Dwayne was afraid that if videos of this
confrontation were distributed online, it would be a great humiliation to the Fowler family’s
reputation.
Thus, Dwayne wanted to chase away the bystanders, delete all the videos and photos from
their phones, and then try to persuade his father to stop.
Although it was a little difficult, it was a good thing that the Fowler Corporation was the
school’s donor. The campus security heard about the commotion and had come to control
the crowd.
“Why chase them out? Are you feeling guilty?” Jane asked.
How could Jane not know what Dwayne was thinking? Did he think they could get away
after creating trouble? Dream on.
Jane decided to stand up and face all of the students’ phone cameras.
She said coldly, “I don’t know why Peter Fowler fainted, but I will explain

clearly why he came to see me.
“Everyone should know that today, I broke Peter Fowler’s record and successfully solved
Professor Henderson’s program.
“Peter Fowler came to see me about that.
“So here’s the conclusion. I surpassed Peter Fowler, and he fainted because his ego was
hurt.”
There was an uproar.
They had expected it when they heard that Peter had fainted.
Anybody would have guessed that was the reason he had fainted.
It was simply because Peter was a proud person and had been honored as the most
outstanding computer programming genius the University of Oricle had ever had.
He had held this honor for barely two years before being clearly overthrown by Jane’s
superiority.
On top of that, Jane was a woman with whom the Fowler family had just reunited. She was
Peter’s very own younger sister.
As the older brother, Peter must have felt very embarrassed.
Dwayne’s face twisted very strangely.

He did not expect Jane to be so ruthless and refuse to save the Fowler family and Peter from
embarrassment.
“Sht up, Jane Fowler! Peter isn’t such a weak man! He’s my son! I know him better than
anyone!”
After Jack had calmed down a bit, he started to panic.
In the past, even if Peter were unconscious, Jack would not have been so reckless.
It was because it was Jane who had hurt Peter.
She was the biological daughter Jack had lost for 19 years.
When Jane severed ties with Jack and left the Fowler family, Jack felt very embarrassed.

Jack’s eyes grew wide immediately. “Apologize? Do you want me to apologize? Jane, who do
you think you are?”
Since the day Jack was born, Anna was the only person who had ever dared to speak to him
in this manner.
“Mr. Fowler, don’t try to act close. I have already severed all ties with the Fowler family. I’m
no longer related to any of you,” Jane said.
“You hurt someone and also made baseless accusations. How dare your still question who I
am?
“So the famous Emeritus Chairman of Fowler Corporation is merely a hyp*crite who bullies
the weak!”
