Zephyr glanced at her curled, delicate pink toes and then looked away, “You can only play for two hours.”
Xifport was not his territory, and the casino was a chaotic mix of people. Johanna, a pregnant woman about to give
birth, needed Zephyr to keep a close eye on her, fearing any mishaps.
“Two hours it is, then.” Johanna was just about to get up from the couch.
Zephyr had already walked over, bent down, and scooped up Johanna from below her knees, cradling her in his
arms.
