Chapter 407 Disagreement During the Escape
The sewer was shrouded in darkness.
Maddox’s voice quivered. “Can we truly escape?”
Lucius finally snapped. “Would you keep quiet? Even a whisper echoes in such a confined space!”
Russell was leading the way. Despite having mobile phones, they dared not use them for light.
The narrow pipe, which was dark and foul-smelling, occasionally echoed with faint noises.
Maddox was terrified and on the brink of tears. He heard Russell’s barely audible voice. “Don’t worry. It’s probably
just rats.”
As he spoke, he felt as if he had inhaled a substantial stench.
After traversing more than twenty meters, an upward pipe came into view.
Russell, who was at the front, glanced back.
Freya whispered, “We should have passed the main gate by now, but we can’t risk going out. We need to go a bit
further to be safe.”
Maddox’s face was ashen. “I think I might suffocate from the smell.”
In the darkness, they lost track of time. The four of them hunched over and trudged forward through the stench.
Freya measured their progress with her steps and estimated they had covered over 100 meters.
Lucius was also growing impatient.
“Is this even air? It feels like sewage!”
Freya whispered, “We’ve covered over 100 meters. They probably haven’t thought about the phones yet. Lucius,
quickly call the local police station for help! After the call, immediately throw the phone into the water to destroy
it!”
Lucius quickly dialed the emergency number.
She could vaguely hear the voice on the other end, but the sudden switch to Iternian left her stunned!
They were clearly in Floravalea. Why would the local police station be speaking Iternian?!
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtFreya stared at Lucius and suddenly remembered that after they had landed ashore, Jamie had knocked them out
before they reached the villa. When she woke up, she was famished, as if she hadn’t eaten for days!
It seemed that during that time, Jamie had indeed transported them from Floravalea to another country!
Freya felt a chill run down her spine.

If this wasn’t Floravalea, then the message she had sent to Radley was incorrect! Jamie’s scheming sent chills down
her spine!
Was this escape going smoothly?
“Give me the phone!” Freya took the phone from Lucius. “Hello, can you tell me which country’s police station this
is?”
A string of irate and fluent Iternian came from the other end, essentially calling Freya a lunatic for making random
calls and asking nonsensical questions.
Freya gritted her teeth and quickly said in Iternian, “Hello, I am a victim of a terrorist kidnapping, and I don’t know
where they have taken me!”
The officer on the other end was clearly skeptical. “This is Kundin.”
Kundin!
Freya’s hands trembled. Everyone in the world knew that Kundin was in turmoil. No wonder the officer’s attitude
was so poor. They had no time to deal with such matters.
She gritted her teeth. “We are currently in a Floravalean-style villa. There can’t be many Floravalean-style villas i in
Kundin, right? Please come and save us. We are from Florin.”
After hearing that they were from Florin, the officer’s tone became noticeably more serious.
He asked for some details, but Freya had been closely watched by Jamie during her time in the villa and could not
provide much information.
The officer wanted to keep the line open, but she explained the situation. The phone was definitely being tracked,
and if it remained on, she would be caught.
After communicating with the officer, Freya dialed Radley’s number.
After a few rings, Radley’s voice came through.
“Hello.”
“Radley, it’s me!” Freya said urgently. “The message I sent you before was wrong. We are not in Floravalea! We are
in Kundin!”
Radley’s voice instantly became anxious. “Frey! Where are you now?”
Freya lowered her voice. “I just escaped from the villa! I have no idea where I am. This phone is being tracked, and
I can only briefly tell you the situation. I have to destroy the phone before they find out. Radley, if I can escape, let’s
meet in the capital of Kundin!”
Radley’s voice was deep and anxious. “Frey, wait for me. I will definitely rescue you.”
“Okay I’m hanging up now! Time is precious!”
After hanging up the phone, she immediately had the other three throw their phones into the water.
The four of them continued to move forward in the darkness.
Maddox muttered softly while walking second in line, “She still has time to call her boyfriend at this time.

I also want to call my family.”
Lucius frowned. The phones have already been destroyed. What are you still complaining about? We won’t have
enough time if you make another call!”
Maddox became angry at Lucius’ words. “Lucius, I’ve had enough of you! All you do is make sarcastic comments.
We don’t even know if we can get out alive. What’s wrong with me wanting to call my family?”
Upon seeing that Lucius was about to start a fight, Freya quickly intervened.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“Go and walk in front of Maddox. Stop arguing.”
Lucius, who had been behind Maddox, moved to the front, and Freya felt relieved.
The four of them continued to walk in the darkness for an unknown amount of time, and Freya only felt. dizzy from
the fumes.
Fortunately, they had wet towels with them to prevent being affected by the anesthetic. Otherwise, they might have
already passed out in this sewer.
When they reached another upward area, Russell looked at Freya weakly. “Miss Kaufmann, let’s go up now. We
don’t know where the next exit is, and I don’t think I can hold on much longer.”
She frowned as she looked into the depths of the sewer. From the villa to here, she could feel the water, flow
increasing.
If they continued down this main pipe, they might reach the sewage outlet.
The sewage in Kundin seemed to always be discharged into the river.
If they could escape to the river, they would truly be safe!
Freya quietly shared her guess.
“All three of you can swim. Once we reach the river, the chances of them catching you will be at least fifty percent
less than on land!”
Maddox, who was behind Russell, said, “But you don’t know how far we are from the river, and this is just your
guess. Who knows if the end is a river or a stinky ditch that we can’t swim in!”
Freya pursed her lips.
She felt that her guess was mostly correct, but the four of them were indeed struggling to hold on.
They had hunched over and walked in this sewer for half an hour, but they hadn’t actually gotten very far.
“It’s too dangerous to go up now,” Freya advised.
However, Maddox suddenly flared up while shouting. “If we don’t go up, we might rot to death here! Freya, if you
can hold on, go by yourself. Don’t drag us down!”
