Rosalynn’s eyes locked onto Barlow’s, her instincts sharpening as a shiver of unease coursed through
her.
“Where is Jenifer? If she’s not here, I should go.”
Just as she was about to turn around, the voice behind her made her pause.
“Don’t you want to know the truth?”

“Don’t you care about Karina?” Barlow asked.
Rosalynn stiffened, Barlow’s words tangling her senses

“Out with it, damn it!”
Faced with the potential danger to her best friend, Rosalynn’s usually placid demeanor flared up.
Unfazed, Barlow’s playful smile remained intact as he lazily gestured to the empty spot beside him.
“Where’s the ever-graceful Rosalynn we know? Settle down. Have a seat.”

Barlow poured a glass of wine for her and asked, “How did you know Kennedi?”
Kennedi?
Rosalynn sputtered in surprise, “You know her?”
“I saw you dining together.” His finger skated across the rim of his glass, eyes narrowing with curiosity.
Rosalynn’s mind began blaring warnings. “Who is she? What’s her background?”
Her questions was met with the sound of Barlow taking a sip of his wine, followed by a chilling
revelation. “She’s the daughter of the former head of Sun Group. She’s seeking revenge against me.”
