her to come to his office.
Rosalynn told Maggie to go and order whatever she liked, then she trudged over to where Brian was.
“What can I do for you?” she asked.
Brian stood from his desk and padded over to the small dining area in his office.
“Come and have lunch with me.”
What? Did he just ask her to have a meal with him?
Rosalynn scowled. “No, thank you. I’ve already ordered takeout.”
“Come here. Or would you rather that I feed you in front of your colleagues?”
Brian plopped down on one of the chairs and smiled at her, his eyes brimming with obvious affection.
