Gail huffed.

“She reminds me so much of you when you were younger,” Brendan said.
Gail’s face softened.

Her voice quivered with a hint of sadness and regret.
Brendan knew that his wife was once again thinking of the daughter they had lost. He drew her closer,
letting his warmth bring her comfort.
