“U–Mr. Ren… Do you have anything else to say?” Ruka realized that she could no longer address him as naturally as

before.

The man outside the door had one hand holding onto the door frame as he looked at the girl, who only dared to

reveal half of her face. At that point, he felt resigned and slightly worried, so he asked hoarsely, “Did I startle you?”

“No.” Ruka shook her head and lowered it shyly.

“I‘m sorry. I take back my words from earlier, so don‘t take them seriously.” Ren‘s voice sounded hoarser than ever,
