Lina and Renee wanted to comply, but their legs trembled, making each step feel like walking on cotton.

abandon them and leave with you? Do you want me to starve?”

“No more nonsense! Take your cousin and go!” Krystal retrieved a small pistol from her pocket and handed it to
Lina.
Just yesterday, she had taught the two girls how to use it. Now, she gave them the pistol for self-defense in case of
emergencies.
