Chapter 106 Osmanthus Garden and beauties

“Forget it, Justin. There is no need to argue with such kind of person. Didn’t you say that you were

going to the Osmanthus Garden with your friend? How about having a walk with Queenie?” Marcia

said.

Justin was about to vent his anger on John, but Marcia interrupted him.

Justin came from a well–to–do family, and he had once studied abroad. Nick and his wife intended

to introduce Queenie to him. After dinner, they would go and leave them an opportunity to know

each other.

As a matter of fact, it was also Nick and his wife who suggested Justin to go for a walk with Queenie

in the Osmanthus Garden. That was why Justin had already made an appointment with his friends in

advance.

But they didn’t expect John’s involvement.

Queenie managed to force a smile, “No, thanks. I don’t…”

“Queenie, I guess Osmanthus Garden must be a beautiful place. Let’s take a walk there!” said John

lightly.

A group of young men and women were already standing beside the gate of the garden. Judging

Bush, you are so arrogant. You made us wait here for so long!”

Obviously, he was just joking.

So Justin didn’t get angry. He responded with a smile and said, “I’ve got a friend to introduce to you.

This is Queenie Yeats.”

Justin pretended to be quite close with her.

“What a beauty!”

Levi and the others had already noticed Queenie, their hearts skipped a beat when seeing her pretty

face. They gave a sincere praise of her after knowing her name.

Then they noticed that John was standing next to her and asked, “Who is this?”

“Someone insignificant.” Justin said coldly.

He didn’t want to waste his time on John, “let’s go inside!”

Levi gave John a tacit glance but said nothing. They walked through the gate.

“Osmanthus is one of the ten species of traditional flowers in Us. It comes in a great many varieties.

The most representative ones are golden Osmanthus and silvery Osmanthus. Its fragrance can travel

far and wide, so it is also called ‘Sweet Flower‘…”

Walking on the path lined with osmanthus trees on both sides, Justin was talking about his knowledge

about Osmanthus while enjoyed the wonderful view.

Many ladies besides looked at him in awe; they were all convinced by his profound wisdom.

However, Justin didn’t take a fancy to them at all. Instead, he fixed his eyes on Queenie, hoping to get

her praise, even just an encouraging glance.

But he didn’t get what he wanted.

Queenie’s aloof face dampened the flames in his heart in an instant.

“Doctor Lopez, you’re here enjoying Osmanthus too?”

At this moment, a pleasant voice sounded from behind. Then a beautiful and tall girl ran over to John

happily.

It was Emily.

John smiled and said, “Hi, Emily. I’m having a walk with my elder sister after lunch.”

“She is your sister!”

Emily sounded relieved. Then she greeted Queenie with a smile, “My name is Emily Wood. Nice to

meet you.”

“Queenie Yeats, John’s god sister.” Queenie said.

Whether intentionally or not, she emphasized the two words ‘god sister‘. Moreover, when she spoke,

she held John’s arm tightly.

Emily froze for a second, but soon she held the other arm of John and said with a sweet smile, “Doctor

Lopez, can I go with you?”

John smiled bitterly and said, “You hold my arm so closely. How can I refuse you?”

‘Alright!” Emily gave out a big smile.

She clenched John‘ arm and showed no intention of letting him go.

Her attitude toward John stunned Levi and other rich young men.

Like Emily, they were all in the upper class, so they knew each other. Several of them had once

pursued her, but she was very arrogant and had never taken them seriously.

But now…

What happened in front of them change their opinion of her.

It turned out that Emily’s arrogance was resulted from the fact that she didn’t like them. When facing

the man she liked, she behaved like a simp!

Even though she knew that John had a beautiful woman by his side, she still warmed up to him.

Levi and others couldn’t help but examine John up and down: who the hell was this guy? Emily called

him ‘Doctor Lopez‘. Was he really a doctor?

Levi wanted to ask Justin about it, but when he turned around and saw Justin’s gloomy face, he

thought better of it.

It seemed that he was pissed off by this guy.

They were extremely depressed and not in the mood to enjoy the flowers at all since John got two

beauties‘ favor. But this depressing atmosphere did not last long. Soon, they showed a gloating

smile.

Because they saw a man – Andy.

Andy was a member of the Brown family in the State of New York. His father, Alan Brown, was a

ruthless man. With his power and status, people called him ‘Big Alan‘ to show respect.

The most horrible thing was that he was a martial artist.

They were all pleased to see Andy there because that they had heard that he was pursuing Emily,

the daughter of the Wood family.

John; that was to say, was his rival in love.

Emily was holding John’s arm at this moment. If Andy saw this, a tough conflict was inevitable
