Chapter 1395: Norah walked past him and sank into the sofa, her movements calm and deliberate. “Sean proposed, and I said yes. I was going to tell you and Mom today. I've already sent her a message and called, so she's in the loop." Calvin's eyes widened in surprise. "I heard sbuzz coming from the Scott Group earlier and thought something might be up. So, it's true!" He paused, processing her words before breaking into a satisfied smile. "Sean's a fine young man. If you're happy, we won't stand in your way. But... we haven't met his parents yet. Don't you think we should hold off on planning the wedding until then?" Traditionally, families of the bride and groom met before hashing out wedding details. But, given the unusual twists and turns of their lives, both families already had a solid understanding of each other's children.

Still, Calvin was firm. Formalities mattered. As her parents, it was their responsibility to meet Sean's family properly. "Your mom will agree with me. Why don't you talk to Sean about arranging a family dinner soon?" Calvin suggested.

Norah leaned back, her face unreadable. "I'll bring it up with Sean. Maybe in a bit." Calvin frowned, restless. "Why not call him now? Honestly, I think I'm more anxious than you are." Settling onto the sofa beside her, he looked anything but his usual composed self. Though a shrewd and unshakable businessman, his daughter's marriage had clearly thrown him off balance.

The Scott family was remarkable, no doubt, and the Wilsons were no less accomplished. Even so, the thought of his daughter stepping into the Scott family made him uneasy. What if she was mistreated? If Norah could hear his thoughts, she would probably laugh. Mistreated? Her? The idea alone was absurd. If anything, she was more likely to turn the tables and keep everyone on their toes.

He remarked, "That's exactly how it should be. I take full responsibility for overlooking this. I'll handle the arrangements and let you know as soon as possible. Please rest assured, Mr. Wilson." Satisfied with Sean's earnest response, Calvin finally allowed Norah to head upstairs. Afterward, he turned to call his wife, eager to share the news.

He hadn't expected this day to cso soon. The thought of his daughter getting married left him both proud and a little overwhelmed.

Later that evening, Norah settled onto her bed and dialed Sean for a video call. As the screen connected, she was greeted by the sight of steam rising from the bathroom, blurring Sean's fras he showered. Water droplets traced the sharp contours of his body, sliding over his broad shoulders, muscled chest, and defined abs before disappearing tantalizingly below his waist.

Typical Sean, she thought, answering her call even while in the shower. This man really didn't know the meaning of modesty.

"If you needed to shower, you could've toldto call later," she said lightly.

Still, her eyes betrayed her, lingering on the view. Sean's physique was downright jaw-dropping, and frankly, she couldn't get enough of it.

Sean's voice, deep and teasing, cthrough. "You always cfirst.” "My phone's always on for you, no matter what I'm doing."

He slicked back his wet hair, the motion emphasizing his sharp jawline and giving his face a om devil may cry his devil-may-care charm. The steam seemed to frhim perfectly, making him look like something out of a forbidden fantasy.
