Olivia was confused. “Why?”
She noticed Lily’s odd words and continued asking, “Wait a minute. What do you mean by the situation outside? Are you inside
somewhere? Where are you?”
Lily sighed. “You shouldn't ask that much. It's a long story. | know what I'm doing, so just listen to whatever | tell you.”
Olivia stayed silent for a moment. Just as Lily was about to continue, she spoke, “Okay. | got it. Lily, I'll take your words to heart.”
Due to Edward's matter before this, Olivia almost had a fallout with Lily. Fortunately, she realized something was amiss later and
regretted her actions. After that, she trusted Lily even more.
Sthings were difficult to bring up, but Lily had to say those things for Olivia's sake.

“Liv, Edward's matter affected you greatly, but you must believe everything will get better eventually. At the very least, Edward
isn’t acting based on his intentions. Just think of him as a patient that will recover one day.”
Lily knew her words could not do much for Olivia. She could not wholly understand what Olivia was going through, much less bear
Olivia's sadness with her. However, she could not help but offer comfort.
Olivia answered, “I know that, but I'm worried because | haven't heard from him recently. I'm fine, though. Plus, | know he’s not
acting like himself right now. He's been nice to me, and I'm willing to go through this tough twith him.”
Then she took deep breaths to calm herself down before continuing, “Well then, we can’t delay our work, no matter what. I'll tell
them they can contact you directly. If it's inconvenient for you these days, you can also postpone it. | think they'd be willing to wait
for you since they very much like your products.”
“Okay,” Lily said. Until now, she still did not know the supposed royal’s identity. She could only take things slowly and assess
whether or not Nick's rescue was possible.
After hanging up the call, she heaved a sigh. She was surprised when she rechecked the time. Unknowingly, it was already ten
minutes past the appointed time. She quickly got up and drank the cold water on her table.
Regardless of how difficult things seemed to be right now, she believed she could find a solution to those problems if she took
things slowly and dealt with those matters one by one.
When she arrived at the office building, she noticed Mike was already waiting for her. He wore a black blazer, looking the sas
he usually did. However, he paced with one hand behind his back, and his eyes lit up when he noticed her.

He subconsciously wanted to approach her but stopped after stepping out, seeming to have remembered something. Ultimately,
he just waved at her from his spot.
Lily nodded and strode to him instead. “You can drop the act. Those people watching the footage can see right through it. You know
that, right? | did something to all the surveillance cameras and monitoring devices an hour ago.”
Mike was taken aback and exclaimed, “That's amazing!”
Then he glanced toward one of the surveillance cameras, slightly doubtful of Lily's words.
“Quit looking! It’s not going to work for a long time. Plus, they'll realize something is off with the time. Tis not on our side
here.” Lily grabbed Mike's sleeve and pulled him with her as they walked.
Mike staggered a little before catching up to Lily, still looking around curiously, “Are the surveillance cameras really not working?”
