Lily spent the entire day at the laboratory and read the document about R10. There was no huge problem; it was more or less the
sas the previous experiments regarding its focus on toxins.
However, it was interesting that the drug formula included medicine that could enhance one’s muscles and bones. Although it
would not counteract the effects of other ingredients, Lily could not figure out the purpose of its addition.
‘They're trying to poison someone secretly and simultaneously enhance the muscles and bones? It doesn’t make sense!”
Of course, she did not ask about it. She knew they would not tell her if she did, and even if they did tell her, it might not be the
truth. She felt what they were trying to do was too bizarre.
‘The organization seems to be trying to rule the world as they could use the things they created to control people. Yet they spend

She had a hunch there must be a deeper purpose to it. However, she could not figure out what it was. She also felt that even Mike
and Rhea were unaware of it.
‘Rhea...’ Lily did not know what to think of that woman.
‘She’s gifted in medicine, even more so than Austin, yet she doesn’t use her knowledge for good but to research harmful things.
Perhaps she has been led astray by others, but she doesn’t seem to care the least about her family and has even hated Anastasia
for no reason.
‘She even faked her death and then showed up here. All | can say is that she’s a dangerous person.’
After the last drop of the essential oil fell into the liquid and blended with it, Lily carefully put the sample inside the testing
instrument and sighed in secret relief. She did not want to produce the results they wanted even if she could, knowing what the
organization was creating would be used to harm people.
However, if she did nothing, she would soon rouse their suspicion and would not have the chance to uncover the secret she hoped
to find. Besides, the organization would surely devise ways to reach its goal, even if Lily did not do it.
The “boss” also said if they could not make R10 work, he would ensure everyone died along with him. She did not doubt his words.
‘He's a madman! A madman is capable of doing anything!”
“That's it?” A voice cfrom behind her. Lily was stunned but did not turn around. She knew who the person was but had failed
to notice her arrival, being too focused just now.

A mocking chuckle sounded, and Rhea’s voice was disdainful, “Don’t say | didn’t warn you. What you’re doing is not going to
work.”
Lily looked down at the sample in her hand and said blandly, “You're so sure as if you know how to make it work.”
Rhea’s expression changed, and she was stumped. Lily meant for her seemingly casual remark to mock her. If Rhea knew how to
make it work, she would have succeeded, and Lily would not have taken over.
Rhea knew what she was implying but could not retort as it was true. She curled her lip into a half smile and stubbornly said,
“You're right. I don’t know how to make it work, but I've failed enough times to know what you're doing will only lead to failure.”
‘So what if | haven't succeeded? It doesn’t necessarily mean | can’t tell she'll fail, right?
“Seems like you haven't learned from all your mistakes, huh?”
