Chapter 936
"Now, although we've pinpointed him in Helgen, he's not easy to catch. He's well- established there, surrounded
by loyal followers who protect him. Getting close to him will be tough. And since our country has no extradition
treaty with Helgen, even if Aaron sends people to arrest him, and Darcy gives you the green light all the way,
you'll still likely face obstacles from multiple quarters!"
"Sister, we're at a critical juncture; we have no other choice!"
Evadne's eyes were bloodshot, her resolve unwavering. "I'll risk everything to bring Avery to justice, to make him
pay with his life for those he's hurt!"

The night was dark, cold, silent, and ominous.
Helgen-
Although Avery successfully made it back to his hideout, he quickly realized that he was not out of danger but

A hell on earth of his own making!
Perhaps due to chronic overwork and stress, compounded by recent high tensions, it wasn't long after his return
to Helgen that he was hospitalized.
He was experiencing the ssymptoms he had in EImsworth: nerve tremors and coughing up blood, but now
even more severe.
In the dead of night, Avery curled up under his covers, tortured by his illness, his forehead slick with cold sweat,
unable to sleep.
He swallowed a myriad of pills, which reacted violently in his stomach, causing him immense agony.
He suddenly remembered seeing Mr. Frederic taking his medication more than once, just as many pills as he was
now.
But his body was already failing after such a short time. Mr. Frederic had endured the torment of illness and
medication for years; how did he manage to survive?
For Avery, death seemed a preferable option...
Suddenly, the door to the room was gently pushed open.
Avery, lying on his side, tensed, his heart pounding. His eyes widened as his hand slowly moved under his pillow.
It couldn't be Harvey; he would have knocked.
So stealthily, it could only be someone out for his life!
The man who walked in approached the bed and pulled a silenced pistol from his coat, aiming it at the figure on
the bed.
Bang Bang!
Gunshots rang out!
Followed by a scream that pierced the dark night!
The gunman was shot in the shoulder and leg, collapsing to the floor by the bed!
Avery stood on the bed, looking down at him, his shadow looming like a devouring demon.
"Mr. Chambers!"
At the sound of gunfire, Harvey, sweating profusely, led his men rushing in, only to collapse in relief upon seeing
his boss unharmed.
The gunman was quickly subdued, kneeling before Avery.
"Who sent you? Speak, and | might spare your life."
Trembling, the gunman uttered a name.
It was the nof a man Avery had set up in Helgen to manage his affairs after he had returned to Emsworth.
"Oh, I see."
The next second, Avery pulled the trigger, and the gunman's forehead burst open, his eyes wide open in death.
"Clean up this mess and the body before dawn."
Avery picked up his gold-rimmed glasses from the bedside table and put them on methodically. "I've only been
back a few days, and speople are already eager to overstep their bounds."
