When he emerged in the air above the plains, Jason first took a deep breath to invigorate himself.
Afterward, he tried to figure out in which direction the city governed by Luna was located.
Thus, he took a good look around after inserting mana into his eyesight. This allowed him to find what he was looking for just a moment later.
The city was far away from his current location, and Jason flew towards it at a slow pace, without trying to attract any attention.
That was something he felt to be necessary because the presence that permeated the entire region around him was gloomy, making him feel uncomfortable.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtBecause of that, he first tried to message both Jennifer and the City Lord using the messenger card, but nobody answered.
Thus, he entered the city, but instead of approaching the City Lord's abode, he first walked through the crowded alleys.
There, he first ordered food from the busiest stall in order to procure information about what all had occurred after the Kinra Island submerged.
Hence, for the remainder of the day, he went from one stall to another, listening to the people eagerly talk amongst each other. Jason didn't speak with anyone if one excluded the stall owners he talked to for ordering food.
In the end, these hours turned out to be a fruitful investment. He had figured out quite a lot about the happenings in the Julandra region, and Jason couldn't help but feel a little bit shocked.
Several races had infiltrated the Julandra region, forcing the Devir and Aeus race to join forces just to survive.
With that arch-rivals had turned into the closest comrades in order to protect their lands and people from the infiltrators. Yet, humans were still subdued.
However, this wasn't the case for long because a terror attack had killed the majority of the Aeus and Devir race's nobles. The culprits had ambushed the nobles who had participated in a commemoration ceremony marking the completion of two years of the battle in which the race's warriors had held back the infiltrators.
The ceremony was not only a celebration to honor those who had fought the other races for such a long time, but also to set up new plans to increase their defenses in order to hold back the infiltrators forever, if possible.
Unfortunately, the ceremony ended in the worst possible way as a bomb created out of an extremely unique material detonated. The blast was so catastrophic that not even the remains of the people could be found.
And that material was none other than the Immortal eye!
When Jason heard this, he immediately thought of Luna. He questioned himself if that was the reason for her to request an Immortal eye to be brought to her.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm'She…asked for an Immortal eye, just to create a bomb…killing the Aeus and Devir race's nobles?' Jason wondered. He was confused about the reason for her to do something like this and in such a perilous period at that.
Scratching the back of his head in confusion, his mind required a few seconds to process the information about the happenings that followed after the terror act had been caused.
In fact, Luna's name was not even mentioned or linked to the attack. What had been mentioned instead was the fact that the perpetrator was already identified and a warrant had been issued.
The same applied to the perpetrator's disciple, which caused Jason to stiffen for a moment.
'Jennifer was already on everybody's radar in her original form, but now even her disguise should be useless…That..is bullshit!'
He had almost cursed out when he heard that Jennifer was being searched by the Devir and Aeus race. However, fortunately enough, the two races had more than enough to do.
They had focussed on appointing new, capable individuals as nobles in order to allow them to lead combat units in the war with the other races.
Following the explosion and loss of many powerful beings of both the Devir and Aeus race, the Manyrs were starting to riot too.
They demanded equal rights as everyone else had or threatened to join the ranks of the infiltrators, and support them by all means.
Forced by the threat the Manyrs had issued, the Aeus and Devir race accepted them in their rows.
