Chapter 895 Broken into the Cave

A supervisor opened the door grumbling and saw people lying all over the

ground, a look of disdain in his eyes.

“It’s because of you damned people that we have to dig the mine ourselves

now! If you’re going to die, just die quickly!”

Seeing that no one on the ground reacted, the man found it pointless to

continue cursing and quickly clapped his hands and left.

In this way, they passed through without incident.

Not long after, Sharon received a signal from Nico.

Sharon turned to Joe and Charlotte. “Are you sure you want to get involved?”

Enter title…

“We’re just here to help you from the rear. Is it more dangerous than what

you’re doing?” Charlotte frowned.

Sharon’s plan had been meticulously designed, and how could they just stand

by and watch while Sharon’s team charged into the front lines, leaving

themselves idle?

That would be too heartless.

Sharon guessed Charlotte’s thoughts and gave her a disapproving look. “Do

we really need to prove this between us in this way?”

Charlotte shook her head. “It’s precisely because we don’t need to that I

insist.”

Sharon then turned to Joe, who looked at him helplessly. “Whose side do you

think you should take between her and me?”

Unable to persuade either of them, Sharon reluctantly handed them both

guns. “At critical moments, just focus on protecting yourselves.”

Mandy also looked helplessly at Jack nearby. “You…”

“Are you trying to persuade me?” Jack raised an eyebrow at Mandy as if

daring her to say something that would make him charge straight into enemy

territory.

Mandy could only look at him helplessly. “I understand. Just make sure you

protect yourself, okay?”

The group quickly approached the edge of the forest and stealthily lurked

near the cave.

Perhaps because the laborers had all “fallen ill,” the people inside the cave

were particularly tense, with only two guards remaining at the entrance.

There was a palpable tension between the two guards, and they frequently

glanced around, seemingly vigilant against the “contagion” inside.

Sharon and Mandy exchanged a glance and then threw a smoke grenade.

The two guards immediately stood up nervously. “Who’s there?”

Thick white smoke quickly obstructed everyone’s vision, making it impossible

to distinguish companion from foe.

Two gunshots rang out, and Sharon had taken down the two guards.

“We need to hurry! The people inside will likely realize something is wrong

soon.”

Sharon glanced at Joe and Charlotte, who both nodded, and then he rushed

inside.

Inside the cave, the stubble-bearded man quickly sensed that something was

amiss. He hastily told the people around him, “Get ready! Someone has

broken in!”

His subordinates nodded and rushed to the warehouse to retrieve a batch of

weapons.

The stubble-bearded man aimed his gun at Sharon, his face darkening

ominously. “You really found us.”

Although Sharon didn’t recognize him, it was clear that he knew Sharon and

seemed very familiar.

Sharon sneered, “Looks like your mama didn’t teach you not to touch other

people’s stuff.”

The stubble-bearded man glared at Sharon menacingly, his eyes filled with

malice. “You’re wasting time with words. You’d be better off in your next life.”

With that, he quickly and confidently pulled the trigger.

However, the gun didn’t fire as expected, leaving the stubble-bearded man in

shock. He looked at the gun in his hand, unable to believe why it had

remained silent.

He shook the gun forcefully, and a pile of sand and stones fell to the ground,

spilling from the barrel.
