Hearing her soft chuckle, Gabriel glanced at her, seeming to understand the reason for her amusement. Without a word, he strode
away.
The weather was perfect, neither too hot nor too cold. Dinner was set up on the lawn in front of Grace's villa.
When Sylvia and Gabriel arrived, the people who hade with Grace were busy setting everything up. A long dining table was
laden with all kinds of food and wine. It didn’t look like it had been prepared by a local chef; rather, it seemed to have been bought
in town. Sylvia even recognized the savory seafood and turnip cakes she had eaten in the old town last time.
“Wow, what a beautiful woman!” a girl exclaimed as she set down a large platter of roasted lamb. She wiped her hands on her
apron and extended a hand to Sylvia. “Hi, I'm Jenny.”
Sylvia shook her hand. “Hello, I'm Sylvia.”
Jenny had bright, round eyes and a cheerful round face, with a few paint smudges on her T-shirt. She radiated a lively, energetic
vibe. “Jonas toldProfessor Quintin’s friend was a total knockout, and | told him he says that about every girl he meets. But
wow, you really do look like you fell from heaven!”
