Maverick's eyes widened. He was momentarily confused. He didn't recognize Dexter until he approached him.
The wine glass he was holding dropped to the floor, splintering into fragments that scattered onto Josie's legs.
"You..." At that moment, someone recognized Dexter. "Dexter Russell? It's Dexter Russell! What is he doing here?" Felix had already turned around, closing the door behind him. His demeanor suggested that he was about to take care of smatters.

"M-Mr. Russell, why have you cin person? I... wasn't informed." Maverick reacted quickly, but the alcohol was still affecting him. His thoughts were becoming lucid, but not entirely.
"We truly apologize for the oversight. Please have a seat.' Dexter directed his gaze at Josie, who appeared to be in a stupor. His eyes seemed to harbor a tempest, emanating a daunting presence that appeared to decrease the atmospheric pressure around him.
The person he couldn't stand to inflict even the slightest harm upon was now here suffering the utmost indignities.
Just as everyone was unsure of what was going on, Dexter suddenly smirked. He adjusted his tie and casually took a seat among the crowd. His voice was low and cold as he said, "The Olsen family's drinking culture is quite wolfish." Anyone could tell that this was a welcoming gift for the daughter who had returned to the Olsen family.
"Mr. Russell... Ms. Warren insisted on drinking. She said it was to apologize for her own lack of consideration. If you don't believe me, you can ask her. Isn't that right, everyone?" Most of the people present had sobered up significantly. They were all aware of the relationship between Dexter and Josie, but what took them by surprise was that Dexter would stand up for his ex-wife without any hesitation.
Apart from overseeing the operations of Russell Group, he had been out of public view for a considerable period. Surprisingly, his reappearance was for Josie.
Vinona, who had been following hem all along, couldn't contain her rustration anymore. "You're talking nonsense! It was you who forced Ms. Warren to drink. When she vanted to leave, you even locked the loor!" ¿w"Don't spout nonsense, you wench!" UMS "I'm not talking about this." Dexter's response was nonchalant. He picked up an empty glass, and just then, the door to the private room swung open again. The waiter wheeled in a cart of liquor, placing it before Dexter. Without even sparing a glance, he commanded, “Uncork the bottles." The waiter nodded, uncorking every bottle. Each tthe sound of a cork hitting the ground was heard, a wave of tension swept over everyone. This served as a wake-up call, sobering up everyone present.

Ms. Warren is our business partner, and we're practically family. Why would we make things difficult for her? Having drinks in a business setting is quite normal..." Someone attempted to speak up but their Voice gradually grew smaller. Dexter leaned back casually, but a storm was quietly brewing.
The waiter had already prepared the drinks, filling them into large glasses. They were arranged one by one on the table, presenting a rather impressive sight.
Dexter lit up a cigarette and did not bother to lift his eyes as he said, "If you love drinking so much, how about we play a game?" They were men in their forties and fifties, yet they were held in check by a young man, eagerly awaiting his next words.
"The glasses will go around the table. On the count of three, whoever they stop in front of has to finish them." As he spoke, the waiter had already set out the glasses. Dexter said languidly, "One. Two." Felix was too afraid to even look from his corner. It seemed that it would be hard to end things without sbloodshed tonight. "Three." Five glasses were neatly lined up in front of Raymond, the person in charge of Olsen Logistics.
His face turned pale. “Mr. Russell, do you really want to go that far? My team has been cooperating with Russell Group as well.”
