Chapter 341:
“Thank you,” Belinda responded, her expression one of disappointment. She wasn’t surprised by Jessa’s change
of heart. A person as trusted as Jessa wouldn't easily turn against Cathy. Belinda knew this investigation needed
tto uncover everything publicly, but twas something she was short of.
She had less than three months.
Taking a deep breath, she inquired, “Did Jessa mention where the two mobile phones are? And how she got hold
of my friend's phone?”
The policewoman paused before nodding. “She indicated that both phones are currently with Cathy. If you want
them, you'll have to confront Cathy directly. Regarding your friend's phone...” She glanced at Jessa’s written
statement. “She claimed to have received it from Cathy to take to a repair shop today.”
Belinda was stunned.
Joyce's phone... had Cathy given it to Jessa? How did she end up with Joyce's phone? Did this mean Cathy knew
her or her family? Even if they were acquainted, why would Cathy possess the phone of a girl in a vegetative
state?
These thoughts sent a wave of anxiety through Belinda, disrupting her focus. She no longer wished to continue
with her statement at the police station. She needed...
Belinda needed to confront Cathy immediately to ask about the phone and whether Joyce’s family had returned.
Even if they hadn't, Belinda was desperate to learn about Joyce's current condition and her whereabouts.

speed this up?”
The possibility of reconnecting with Joyce, who had been unreachable for four years, filled Belinda with a mix of
excitement and nerves. Although the policewoman was unaware of the full situation, she quickly completed
recording Belinda’s statement out of consideration.
As soon as she left the police station, Belinda pulled out her phone and dialed Madisyn’s number. “Madisyn, it
looks like we might see Joyce again!”

Madisyn leaped up from the sofa with such excitement that the facial mask she had just applied plopped onto
the floor.
Yet, she couldn't care less.
Clutching her phone tightly, Madisyn’s voice brimmed with excitement. “Belinda, do you have any updates on
Joyce? Where in the world is she now? It’s been four years. Is she in good health? Are there any signs of waking
up?”
Belinda, her hand trembling as she held the phone, responded softly, “I don’t have any news yet.”
Belinda found solace on a park bench beside the police station. Watching children frolic in the park, she took a
deep breath and recounted her day’s events to Madisyn, starting from her visit to the repair store.
“Damn it!”
