Jared reached out and pushed the bronze door. It was surprisingly light and had no arcane arrays on it. Thus, it
opened with ease.
As the door creaked open, an enormous prison appeared before them. On both flanks of the corridor were
relatively small cells that contained people. More importantly, the cells had arcane arrays flickering around them.
The people in the cells, chained to thick metal chains, looked unbelievably haggard, with their hair in a disheveled
state. Clearly, they had been locked up for a long time. Upon hearing the bronze door pushed open, several
prisoners looked over to reveal their gazes that gleamed with viciousness. One could tell they were not ordinary
people..
Besides, it was Evil Heart Sect’s dungeon. Naturally, it would not contain ordinary people. Jared could not imagine
what happened between those prisoners and Evil Heart Sect that caused the prisoners to be locked up there.

However, the moment Jared saw the look in their eyes, he hesitated. He feared he would bring trouble upon himself
by freeing those prisoners.
Therefore, Jared quickly walked past the first level and headed to the second. Let’s just leave these people locked
up here.
Jared was no savior, and neither could he save everyone. What he needed to do urgently at that moment was to
get the family members of Quindon and the others out as soon as possible.
Next, they arrived at the second level; it was different compared to the first. It was a huge prison that had four
prisoners, each of them chained to one corner with thick, heavy chains.
They, too, were in a mess, making it hard for Jared and the others to see their faces. What was worth noting was
the prisoners were still alive despite having chains that passed through their bodies. Clearly, they were powerful
beings too.
Jared merely swept a glance at them and headed for the third level. When he was about to arrive at the entrance,
a hoarse voice rang out.
“Why is a sword spirit from the sword-cleansing lake here? Is it here to save us?” The voice belonged to a
disheveled elderly mant in the corner.
Hearing that, Jared turned in the voice’s direction to find himself staring at a scrawny old man whose face was
slightly burned. The latter looked as if he was on the verge of death.
“Who are you? How do you know about the sword-cleansing lake?” interrogated Jared. “I’m the chief elder of Divine
Smithing Sect. How can I not know about the sword-cleansing lake?”
Once the elderly man finished his sentence, the other three prisoners lifted their heads. That was when Jared
realized all four of the prisoners looked alike. Surprise gripped him. instantly.

Chief elder of Divine Smithing Sect? I never knew a person like that existed. Then again, if he’s the chief elder, why
is he locked up here? Master Hammerhead said Divine Smithing Sect was eliminated by Fire Incineration Sect.
What’s this chief elder doing here, then? Could Evil Heart Sect have something to do with Fire Incineration Sect?
Jared was utterly confused. “You’re the chief elder of Divine Smithing Sect? Why are you here?” Jared asked.
However, the elderly man did not answer. He kept his gaze fixed on Jared and asked, “This sword spirit was bathed
in the sword-cleansing lake. Who are you? How did you get to the lake?”
Jared eyed the elderly man for some time before saying, “It was Master Hammerhead who brought us there.
Sworder was the one who shaped Dragonslayer Sword’s sword spirit into her current form.”
“Dragonslayer Sword?” The elderly man’s eyes went wide as he stared fixedly at Zelda. “You’re saying she’s the
sword spirit of Dragonslayer Sword? My sect created that magic sword, but it was damaged and went missing.”
The elderly man’s face flushed with excitement. Judging by the elderly man’s reaction, Jared instantly knew the
former was not lying. Thus, the latter gave Zelda a look. Understanding what Jared was implying, she transformed
into Dragonslayer Sword with a flash and rested in Jared’s hand.
