Chapter 1764 Returning Home

Perhaps Leah and her family really thought Ian was a pushover, for he had nobody to support him. That was why

they would insult him at first and begged him for his help when insults didn’t work. They were the epitome of

human scum.

Cindy felt like she had to step in at this point. “Leave. He has nothing to say to you. You should know what you did to

him. We’re already kind enough not to ask for recompense for all the damages you did, so don’t push your luck.”

Sally was starting to panic, and she even tried to beg once more. “Ian, are you really just going to stand by? We’ve

been a family for a long time now, and my mom used to—”

Before she could finish, Cindy shoved her aside and held Ian’s arm. “Let’s go. She should not have brought the past

up. Does she really think we won’t make it worse for them?”

Aurora was livid as well. “Young lady, if you keep harassing us, I’ll give a call to Bryce and tell him what you did.

Let’s see if he’ll let Leah go then. He might even double down on her.”

Aurora had wanted to take a stroll after the meal, but the mood was ruined, and none of them wanted to keep it up

anymore. They went back home, and Cindy was still feeling upset. She kicked her shoe away hard when she took it

off, and her face looked tense. “How dare they? They tried to make a ruckus in the morning, and now they want us

to help them? How shameless can they get?”

Aurora shared her sentiment. “And she thinks we’ll let everything slide just because she’s playing the victim? She’s

delusional.”

Ian was standing behind them. He had been annoyed as well, but after seeing the ladies looking so furious, he

thought it wasn’t a big deal anymore. He even came over to hug Cindy. “Hey, they came to see me. It’s obvious the

old man did something really severe, and they are left with no choice.”

It was then Cindy and Aurora realized he had a point.

Cindy looked at him. “Hey, if even Sally’s here to ask for your help, do you think Mr. Morgan might have told her

something?”

Ian shook his head. “I don’t think so.” He was hesitant and wasn’t sure if that was the case. Leah wanted to cause a

mess because Bryce changed his will. Just because he went to see Bryce wasn’t reason enough for Leah to come

over and cause trouble. Now that they had a sudden change in attitude, he realized that it must be related to the

will somehow.

Ian looked at his mother. “The old man probably changed the will’s content.” It’s possible. Leah only knew I went to

see Bryce and Sean at first, so she was angry and came over to demand an explanation from me. Now that she

found out that the will was changed, she switched her tactics as well.

Aurora knew what he was getting at even without him finishing the sentence, and her anger was ever so slightly

assuaged. “If he gives you a bigger share, then at least he can redeem himself somewhat. He has neglected you

for years, and if he still keeps it up when he’s on his deathbed, he’s going to hell once he dies.”

Ian sat down on the couch. “I don’t really care about his stuff, nor have I ever wanted it. I can work too.”

Not to mention he wasn’t lacking in the financial department. The entertainment industry could make him a lot of

quick money. He was popular now and he had a lot of jobs, so he had a lot of ways to make bank. He didn’t care

even though Bryce gave him a lot of money. In fact, he felt disgusted.

He never cared about me. Heck, he never even looked at me, and now he wants to buy me out with money? Man,

he’s just like Leah and her kids. Delusional.

Cindy didn’t know about his thoughts, but her anger was assuaged as well after knowing that Bryce might give him

some monetary recompense. Despite that, having the Morgans as his family must be a harrowing experience for

Ian.
