Chapter 1230
Ellinor was pregnant and close to popping, so her hormones were all over the place. Plus, seeing Theo made her
feel uneasy, and Sophia kept yapping nonsense and blocking her way.
She couldn’t stand it anymore, so she tried to push Sophia away.
But as soon as her hand touched Sophia’s clothes, Sophia flew off like she had been hit by a truck, crashing into the
restaurant counter. Blood trickled down her forehead, and she screamed in pain.
Ellinor frowned at Sophia’s over-the-top performance. A few minutes ago, she thought Sophia was smarter than
Patricia. Now, not so much.
She didn’t even push that hard. Sophia just took a dive. Naturally, Ellinor didn’t feel guilty at all. Nobody was
stopping her, so she could just walk away.

“Who said you could leave?”
After hearing Theo’s voice, Ellinor stopped in her tracks and turned around. “Since when do I need permission to
leave?”
Theo, stone-faced, walked over to Sophia, who was still on the ground, helped her up, and then glared at Ellinor.
“You did this to Sophia, and you’re just gonna walk away?”
After being helped up, Sophia tried to play the martyr. “Don’t mind me, Theo, I’m fine! You and Ms. Mendoza just
had a reunion; don’t let me ruin it…”
Theo snorted. “You’re really thinking about her, huh? But what about her?”
Sophia shook her head, managing a weak smile. “Theo, I’m really okay!”
Ellinor retorted coolly. “Mr. Blanchet, she wouldn’t let me leave. Was I not supposed to push her away?”
Theo stepped closer, his expression darkening. “Pushing her away is one thing, but did you have to push her down
and make her bleed?”
He was still the same man, but he had taken a different stand.
In the past, whenever Ellinor was misunderstood, Theo always took her side unconditionally. He didn’t even ask for
her side of the story; he simply believed in her.
Now, he had chosen to stand by his wife and believe her.
And there’s nothing wrong with that!
When it was just other women, she carried some weight in Theo’s eyes, so he supported her unconditionally. But
now, in front of his wife, he knew whom to back.
His wife was closer to him, so of course he backed her.
Even though it was only natural, Ellinor still felt chill in her heart. She forced a laugh. “So what are you gonna do?

Theo’s gaze swept over her, and then he said flatly, “Just apologize to her, and we’ll let this go!”

He asked her to apologize? For something she didn’t do?
Ellinor smirked. “You might as well hold me responsible then! I won’t apologize. I didn’t push hard, so only she
knows why she fell so hard.”
Sophia inhaled deeply, looking wronged. “She’s right! Ms. Mendoza didn’t push me hard; I just lost my balance and
fell. Let it go, Theo, I’m fine!”
But Theo had no intention of letting Ellinor off that easy. He stepped closer again, demanding that she apologize.
“I’ll ask you one more
me, will you apologize?”
Ellinor’s heart ached as if it had been cut with a knife. What hurt her wasn’t being misunderstood, but Theo’s lack of
trust in her character.
