Aaron at the streceived the notification from Mr. Gellar about the Frost family's upcoming resort bid.
He was immediately on pins and needles.
With Brandon out of town on a business trip and Sophia giving him the cold shoulder, Aaron had no choice but to head to the
hospital again.
But thanks to the lessons learned from his previous botched attempts, Aaron opted for a clever disguise this time.
Instead of entering outright, he slipped into a cleaner's get-up, complete with a cap and a mask, pretending he was there to take
out the trash. The bodyguard, seeing his cleaner disguise and the big bag that looked like a trash sack, didn't bat an eyelid and just
waved him through.
Daniel was resting with his eyes closed in bed.
He seemed to have calmed down since his brief talk with Brandon the other day. His mood had improved, and his recovery seemed
to be on a decent track, no longer as sick as in the previous days.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtRelieved by Daniel's partial recovery, Patricia was feeling a load off and playing on her phone. When she noticed a cleaner coming
in, she barely gave a lazy glance before her eyes were glued back to her phone screen.
"Dump the trash," Patricia ordered, her eyes still on her phone, her voice devoid of any emotion. "And pick up those meal boxes on
the table, give the table a wipe, and mop the floor while you're at it. Scrub the sink and the bathroom too, disinfect them—I don't
know what you guys are doing, but it reeks."
Aaron was unfazed by her snobbish tone; pulling off his mask, he leaned in with a grin and announced,"It's me, Sophia's brother."
"Holy smokes."
Patricia nearly let loose a swear word at the sudden close-up of the man’s face. She instinctively shrank back towards Daniel,
accidentally pressing against his thigh and rousing him from his slumber.
With one look at Aaron in his janitorial disguise, Daniel was nearly breathless with infuriation.
Aaron hadn't meant to startle Patricia. While taking off his cap, he quickly helped her up, apologizing as if they were old pals: "My
sincerest apologies, for frightening you like that. | heard Chairman Crawley fell sick and was terribly worried—I have been wanting
to visit, but it always seemed you were resting, and | wouldn't dare to disturb. Today, by chance, | was dropping by to see a friend
and thought to check in on you all."
As he spoke, Aaron smoothly stripped off his overalls. Noticing Patricia and Daniel still gawking at him with wide eyes, he chuckled
sheepishly, "This outfit's clean, | promise. | was helping a buddy with swork and didn't want to get my own clothes dusty."
Then, turning to Daniel with a concerned tone, he asked, "Chairman Crawley, are you feeling any better?"
Though Daniel was discontent on the inside, he kept up the pleasantries on the surface.
"Much better, thank you for your concern.”
Patricia, maintaining her poise but with a chilly undertone, gently reminded Aaron, "Aaron, you can just call us Mr. Crawley and
Mrs. Crawley. Referring to us in father-in-law’ and ‘mother-in-law’ could lead to misunderstandings, considering Sophia and
Brandon are already divorced."
"Of course, of course."
Aaron felt a renewed sense of kinship seeing they still treated him with the spolite cordiality as always. He assumed they

together. They've remarried, and they've even had a child."
"What?"
Daniel nearly bolted upright from his bed.
