That young man was none other than Philip!
Philip had a splitting headache. He looked up at the other person after hearing the voice.
He found a withering old man with a hunched back in coarse linen clothes looking at him
with a kind smile.
That look seemed to soothe Philip's mind, and his head no longer ached.
Seeing that Philip was silent, the old man smiled and asked, "How are you feeling? Okay?"
Philip quickly checked himself and said, "I'm fine..."
The old man nodded and said, "That's good to hear, but what were you doing lying on the
mountain path? Were you too tired? If my granddaughter hadn't seen you, I'm afraid the
wolves would've taken you by now."
The old man seemed a little concerned and blamed Philip for his action, but Philip was
startled.
Mountain path?
What mountain path?
He only had one memory in his mind now, but it was in a mess. The only clear thought
was the conversation between the old man and his granddaughter earlier.
Philip frowned as he realized he could not remember who he was!
A pained look gradually appeared in Philip's eyes as he tried to recall but to no avail.
Seeing Philip's appearance, the old man frowned and quickly said, "It's okay, young man.
If you can't remember anything, stop thinking about it. Just have a good rest and maybe
it'll come back to you."
Philip turned a deaf ear to the old man. He clenched his right fist and hit his head twice
but still could not remember anything. However, his headache grew more intense, and
Philip was soon knocked unconscious by the pain again.
"Philip, can't you recall where your home is?" A very cute little girl with pigtails blinked her
eyes and asked Philip.
It had been three months since Philip woke up, but he could not remember anything
except his name.
Philip smiled and said, "No, and I don't think there's a need to think about it. Life is pretty
good now..."
Although he said that, Philip still tried to recall who he was every day, but he would end up
with a headache and falling into a coma. However, he had a feeling that he would solve
this problem very soon.

Philip felt a sudden surge of tenderness.
He knelt, hugged Jane, and said, "Of course. You're such a cute little girl. Why wouldn't I
stay with you?"
After staying here for three months, Philip was very familiar with his surroundings. He was
in a small valley surrounded by mountains.
Other than Philip, an outsider, only four members of this family lived here, the old man,
Jane, and Jane's parents.
Many wild beasts such as wolves and leopards lived on the mountain too, but they hardly
approached this area.
They simply stood at the entrance of the valley and looked over here with greedy eyes.
However, none of the wild beasts entered the village, which puzzled Philip.
Philip asked the old man but did not receive an exact answer.
