Marion involuntarily curled the fingers that had just brushed over her lips, still feeling the lingering touch
of the man’s lips on her fingertips.
She pressed her hand against her palm and nodded at Lucas. “I’ve figured it out, but you don’t need to
bother with it, Mr. Craig.
When she spoke to Lucas like that, she was not really seeking assistance.
She was not so weak to let herself be bullied without any retaliation. Her words were a mix of genuine
anger and a warning for Lucas.
After all, now that the matter was all over the internet, the Craig family might become aware of it.
However, right after she finished speaking, Lucas’s expression noticeably cooled.
Marion sensed the change in his mood but could not pinpoint exactly where it had shifted. Well, that
was not the main focus anyway.

Lucas walked to the front door of the villa.
Marion blinked, recalling that Lucas usually waited for her. This time, he had walked ahead
unexpectedly, making her uneasy.
Well, it was not a good habit for her to have. After all, she was not truly Mrs. Craig.
Without much thought, Marion shrugged it off.

you’re back. What would you like for lunch?”
Marion, thinking of calling Miley, casually said, “Just make whatever you think is good, Mrs. Bailey,” and
headed upstairs.
“Mrs. Craig, did Mr. Craig encounter something unpleasant today?” Ronda asked as Marion walked
past her.
“No? Why do you ask, Mrs. Bailey?”
Ronda did not want to make up stories about the master of the house, so she explained that she had
noticed Lucas’s expression and had seemed upset.
“I just thought if Mr. Craig wasn’t in a good mood, I should prepare something appetizing.”
To avoid any mishaps.
Marion sighed inwardly. “There shouldn’t be anything. You decide what to make.”
