Chapter 448
“You think I should let her know the truth?” Jackson asked with cold eyes.
The look in Jackson’s eyes made Connar shiver. He realized that he had accidentally mentioned a
taboo subject.
Serenity Lewis‘ case was something that Mr. Valor did not want anyone to inquire about.
All Connor had to do was obediently follow Mr. Valor’s orders.
“I’ll leave for San Marco right away,” said Connor. He then left the study.

Although Mr. Valor only treated her as a game in the beginning, their relationship had turned serious

Serenity.
“Okay, no problem,” replied Jackson
“We’ll depart at 7am. It’s a 2–hour drive, so we’ll probably reach after gam,” Serenity added.
“Got it,” said Jackson, “Since we’re leaving at 7, you should go to bed early.”
“What about you?” she asked.
“I have some things to take care of. You go to bed first,” he said, “I’ll go to bed as soon as I’m done.”
Serenity nodded. Being in charge of a large conglomerate must not be easy.
Serenity turned around to leave the study. However, the moment she did, Jackson’s arms suddenly
reached out from behind and pulled her into his embrace.
“What’s wrong?” It was so sudden that Serenity was caught a little off guard.
