Lucas’ eyes turned sullen. His eyes drilled into Jackson’s as his expression darkened.
Jackson had a relaxed smile. “Hey, when you find the owner of this silver bracelet, what will Serenity be
to you? You’ve always treated her as a substitute, but she’s different to me.”
“Serenity… What is she to you?” Lucas asked with a raspy voice.
“She’s my life,” Jackson said with absolute certainty, a hint of imperceptible hostility in his eyes.
