Serenity initially thought that she would not be able to sleep at night with Jackson by her side, but she
drifted to sleep after closing her eyes and slept like a baby. She seemed in have gained a sense of

Serenity woke up the next day and found Jackson in a white shirt. He was buttoning his cuffs as he
walked toward her. “You’re up.”
“Yeah” Serenity’s cheeks were slightly pink. She had not washed her face nor brushed her teeth, and
her hair was a total mess.
“Had a good sleep? 1 slept very well last night,” Jackson said. He leaned forward and propped his
hands on the edge of the bed, his dark eyes boring into her eyes.

Serenity stammered, “Y–yeah..”
“Great?” He kissed her on the cheek. “When you’re ready, come downstairs and eat.”

Serenity then went to the bathroom and washed up. By the time she came downstairs, Jackson was
already sitting at the table. He had not yet started eating, obviously waiting for her.
The kitchen at the Valor Residence offered a wide variety of food for breakfast.
“What do you want to eat?” Jackson asked.
“I’ll have some cereal,” Serenity said. Soon after, the maid brought the cereal and some appetizers with
snacks
Serenity took her seat and gazed up, only to find Jackson looking at her.
“What’s the matter?” Serenity asked.
“It’s nothing. I just think you look cute when you eat,” Jackson said. Then, he raised his hand, reaching
out from across the table, and wiped the corner of her lips with his finger.
A grain of cereal that had been stuck to the corner of her lips moved to his finger, and she watched as
he ate the grain of cereal. on his fingertips.
Serenity’s face turned red. She found herself blushing more frequently lately. She never knew a man
could be so seductive with such a move.
“It’s sweet.” He grinned at her.

After breakfast, Jackson rose to his feet. Serenity watched as he took a tie from the maid. Then, he

“Can you help me?” Jackson requested.

Serenity squeezed the tie in her hand. A wave of complicated emotions suddenly ruse in her heart. She
