Chapter 393
“No, I’m fine with this place!” replied Serenity hastily. The grave plot Jadeson had picked for her mother
had its own private space compared to the other graves
Using an analogy with the different types of houses, the rest of the cemetery was Ie an apartment
black, while her mother’s grave was a standalone bungalow.
The private grave plot was neatly lined with a row of trees. There were also marble tables and chairs
for visitors within the compound
“Very well,” said Jackson. “Then it’s time for you to lay down your mother’s ashes.”
Serenity nodded before she knelt down and placed the urn inside a hole specially dug to contain the

One of them passed a contract over to her. It contained a fifty–year lease over the grave plot. She was
shocked when she saw the price of the lease. It was so expensive that she probably wouldn’t be able
to afford the lease even prior to the incident.
“All expenses have been paid for my Mr. Valor I just need you to sign here, Ms. Lewis, said the worker
Once again. Serenity was indebted to Jackson. Biting her lip nervously, she scribbled her signature on
the piece of paper. This wasn’t the time to worry about her dignity.
After the cemetery workers left, Jackson had Connor bring over some candles and lowers to
commemorate the occasion.
“You haven’t had the chance to grieve over your mother’s death, so you might as well do it now,” said
Jackson as he knelt down to arrange the candles in front of the gravestone. He then produced a lighter
and lat up the candles.
Serenity took the flowers and stared blankdy at the gravestone. Now that her mother’s ashes had been
returned, her heart was finally at peace.
Even after her mother’s death, her grave seemed to offer a sense of spiritual support for Serenity
whenever she felt down. She lowered her head and said a prayer for her mother in heaven.
“Mother, it’s winter now that I’m finally able to see you. I promise I’ll visit you every day. You don’t have
to wait for me anymore,” she murmured under her breath. “If you’re really out there, I pray for your
blessing, so that I can uncover the truth behind the car accident and avenge myself.”
Jackson overheard her words, which made his expression darken immediately. His hand, which held

After Serenity laid a bunch of flowers over her mother’s grave, Jackson followed suit.
The scene caught Connor and their bodyguards by surprise. While it was common practice tu respect
the dead, the sight of their master bowing to another person shucked them to the cure. After all, there
were only a handful of people in the city that he would treat with such respect.
Serenity was equally as astonished. “What are you…”
“She is your mother, isn’t she? It’s only natural that I should pay my respects,” replied Jackson as he
knelt down and placed a flower over her grave.
If it weren’t for this woman, then Serenity would never have existed, and she was someone he never
expected to want so
much
At that point, she felt an indescribable mix of emotions in her heart. As the pale mtlight bounced off his
