door and inviting Serenity into the car.

“I’m not used to owing favors, so I must treat you to a meal, Lucas said in an unquestionable tone, his
gaze becoming darker.
Serenity bit her lip slightly. Perhaps men like Lucas rarely encountered rejection. He might pester her
the more she refused. In that case, it was better to just have this meal with him.
Anyway, if he really wanted to hurt her, he would have done so last night!
Serenity stopped arguing and sat in the passenger seat.
Lucas then closed the door, returned to the driver’s seat, and drove away.
