“I have.” Ava pursed her lips and smiled. Then, she suddenly felt apologetic again. “I'm sorry, Mr. Lowe. The person
Naya's mother wants to target is me. I didn't expect to get you involved too."
“Don't say that. We have clear a conscience, and we can't predict what the next step will be for those with bad
intentions. Just be yourself and protect yourself. That'll be enough."
Tom's answer gave Ava a particularly calm feeling.

“Mr. Lowe, what happened in the office? It sounded like a lot of people were making noise,” Ava asked curiously.

Tom reminded her kindly.
Ava also thought that Tom was right. “I plan to stay at my friend's house for a while. It's better to have someone

Tom paused slightly. "You mean your boyfriend Daniel's place?"
"No," Ava added. “It's my good friend, Maddie. You know her as well, Mr. Lowe. She's Jeremy's wife Eveline, but I'm
used to calling her Maddie.”

"Right, Mr. Lowe. Even though you don't mind the rumors and gossip Naya's mother is spreading online, I think we

way into my and Danny's relationship.” Ava looked serious.
Tom could see Ava's concerns, so he nodded and agreed. "I'll send you back to your friend's place first, then I'll
make an announcement to clarify things when I get back.”
“You don't have to go through all the trouble, Mr. Lowe. I'll be careful.” Ava also did not want to bother Tom to drive

was here to pick her up. “Maddie, you're so punctual. I just got here."
However, Madeline walked up to Ava with a worried look. "Ava, have you been able to get into contact with Dan
since last night?”
