Channing had just left the tea room and returned home. Shannon came back to greet him when she

saw him. “Why are you so early today?”

Channing had just snorted. “Where’s Celia?”

“She’s sleeping upstairs.”

“Why are you sleeping in the daytime? Ask her to come down. I have something to ask her.”
