Chapter 383
Emmett took the food and looked at the list.
He found a baby's meal marked on the list.
The take-out worker saw Emmett take the take-out food and said, "Have a good meal." Then he left.
He still had to rush to pick up the next order.
Emmett did not close the door immediately. Instead, he looked up at the tightly shut door on the
opposite side.
Other than the woman called Alyssa, who else would order food for him and Angela at this time of the
day?
She was a very attentive and soft-hearted woman.
Emmett hooked his lips and a smile touched into his eyes.
He and Angela had already had dinner before. So he originally wanted to throw away the take-out box.
However, Alyssa’s smiling face suddenly flashed across his eyes. He retracted his outstretched hand
and turned around to put the take-out box in the fridge.
Before he went to bed, he went to look at Angela again before returning to his room.
"Emmett, you're back."
A gentle female voice with a hint of excitement could be heard. Emmett suddenly looked up and found
himself standing in the courtyard of a villa.
The villa was surrounded by lush and thick woods. The villa seemed to be built halfway up the
mountain.
The woman who had called him just now spoke again. "What are you looking at? Come in and eat."
He looked up and saw a slim and slender woman walking towards him.
The woman was wearing a white dress. Her footsteps were light and she looked very young.
The closer the woman got, the clearer Emmett could see her face.
Emmett murmured, "Alyssa?"
"I made the vegetarian tri-fried and stewed beef. Since you've been too busy recently, I didn't put much
chili in. You need to eat something light."
Alyssa walked over and grabbed his arm. She looked at him with a smile. The two of them were very

Suddenly, the scene changed.
He was no longer in the courtyard and Alyssa had also disappeared.
He looked around and found that he was in a bedroom.
The sound of water splashing came from the bathroom.
But very quickly, the sound of splashing water stopped.
At this time, Alyssa walked out of the bathroom wrapped in a bath towel. Her white face was slightly red
from the hot water. Even her exposed shoulders and arms were shimmering peach blush.
Alyssa seemed to feel Emmett's gaze. She shyly reached out her hand to cover her naked skin. "I
forgot to bring my pajamas in."
Emmett could not help but walk towards her. His voice was low and hoarse. "No need to wear them. I
will take them off later anyway.”
Then, his body seemed to have its own consciousness. He threw Alyssa directly onto the bed.
Although Alyssa was shy, she did not resist.
He pulled off the towel on her body and pressed himself up against her.
The woman's long hair fell on the pillow like a waterfall. Her skin was delicate and snow white. Her
pretty cat eyes were glowed with water as she called his name softly.
"Emmett. . . slow down. . ."
“Emmett. . . slow. . .”
"I can't slow down. . ."
“Emmett. . .”
"Empett!"
Emmett suddenly opened his eyes and saw Angela’s face above his head.
Angela lowered her head and looked at him above Emmett's head. "Wake up. I'm so hungry."
Along with her words, her stomach cooperatively cooed twice.
Emmett held Angela by the back of her collar and lifted her to the side before sitting up.
So it was a dream.
The last time he sent Alyssa back, he knew he was interested in Alyssa.
This dream made him understand what kind of feelings he had for Alyssa.
This was something that had never happened before.
"Daddy."
Emmett felt someone pulling his blanket.
He looked down and realized it was Angela who was trying to lift his blanket.
His expression changed. He reached out to hold the blanket and carried Angela to the floor. His tone
was serious. "Now, turn around and go out. Wait for me outside the door."
Angela replied, "Okay."
Then she obediently ran out with her little legs.
As soon as she went out, Emmett locked the door and went into the bathroom.
By the time Emmett tidied himself up and came out, it had been half an hour later.
Angela sat in front of his door with her messy hair on her head and whispered to herself, as she played
with her toys.
Emmett took her to wash her face and change her clothes. When he was combing her hair, he was at a
loss.
He stared at Angela's soft hair for a few seconds and said in a serious tone, "You look pretty when your
hair is let down."
Angela said excitedly, "I want to tie my braids."
Emmett said with a straight face, "You don't look good if you tie your braids."
Angela turned her small head to look at him. She twisted her fingers and seemed to read Emmett. She
said loudly, "You don't know how to tie my braids!"
Emmett had nothing to say.
Ding Dong –
The doorbell rang.
"I'll go open the door." Emmett got up and went to open the door.
Frank had brought breakfast with him.
"Uncle Frank." Angela's eyes lit up when she saw the breakfast. She ran over and hugged Frank's leg.
Frank smiled and rubbed her head. "Good morning, Angela."
After Frank put the breakfast on the table, Emmett suddenly said, "Go and investigate Alyssa again."
Angela had an impression of the word "Alyssa." Hearing that, she looked up. "Huh?"

A child's attention was easily diverted.
After Emmett moved out to live, he did not hire any maids. So he could only bring Angela to the
company.
When they went out, they met Alyssa who came back from buying groceries.
Angela looked excited, "Auntie Alyssa."
"Good morning, Angela."
Alyssa smiled at Angela and turned her head inadvertently. She saw Emmett looking at her
unblinkingly.
Alyssa was stunned for a second. She nodded at Emmett and called out, "Mr. Lawrence."
"Yes." Emmett replied coldly and brought Angela into the elevator.
Alyssa shook her head after they left. Emmett was really an unpredictable person.
Emmett should have given Angela some takeout food she ordered for them last night.
Alyssa felt that she seemed to be paying too much attention to the father and daughter pair, even
though she liked Angela very much.
Forget it, she did not want to think so much.
After Alyssa arrived home, she received a phone call from Hazel.
"Alyssa, I have something very important to tell you." Hazel's tone sounded very serious.
"When and where shall we meet?" After experiencing the incident at the mall last time, Alyssa was very
cautious.
After she was discharged from the hospital, she did not watch movies or dramas, so she did not know
that Hazel was an artiste.
Hazel said, "I am coming to pick you up."
Hazel hung up the phone and drove to Alyssa’s residence.
She thought for the entire night and felt that she still had to tell Alyssa everything that happened in the
past.
Alyssa had the right to know that she had a daughter.
As for that Sampson West, she did not know what he had got up in his sleeve. But she always felt that
he was full of cunning tricks.
