#126 “You’re in Way Over Your Head.”
The door swung open with a force that signaled the entry of trouble. A man, dressed in all black, strutted into the restaurant. His
presence sent a shiver down the spines of the diners, the air thickening with an ominous tension. He was a mountain of a man,
draped in a leather jacket that seemed to cling to his intimidating frame.
His face, etched with scars and adorned with a scruffy beard, was a canvas of menace. A pair of cold, calculating eyes scanned
the room, making the patrons uneasy. The thug’s mere appearance was a statement, a declaration that trouble had just stepped
into the cozy eatery.
The man wasted no time; he approached Lisa with an air of arrogance. “Close this place down. Vacate the premises,” he
commanded, his words dripping with a threatening undertone.
Lisa stands in front of the man and crosses her arms in front of her chest. ” It won’t do. Stop showing up uninvited,” she scolds
him.
He laughs loudly in front of her. “You can’t stop me from showing on my lands. The will has taken effect, this land is now mine,
and I plan to sell it,” he declared.
Lisa stood her ground. “This restaurant is something that Mike and I worked hard to start, and I won’t give up just like that. As for
that will, I don’t think it’s real.”
The thug’s face contorted into an ugly mask of anger, his voice a thunderous roar. “Are you questioning me? I tell you, I have the
right to inherit this land, and you have no right to stay here!
Lisa, defiant and unyielding, shot back, “I’m not questioning you; I’m questioning that will. I believe the law will give us a fair
judgment.”
The thug, with a menacing laugh, responded, “The law? Sweetheart, the law bends to people like me. I suggest you pack up
before things get messy.”
Lisa crossed her arms, undeterred. “I won’t be bullied. This is our livelihood, and I won’t let you take it away unjustly.
The confrontation unfolded like a scene from a gritty drama. Emotions ran high, the once vibrant atmosphere now replaced with
palpable tension. Some customers, sensing the impending storm, hastily abandoned their meals and fled the restaurant, leaving
behind a lingering sense of chaos..

The thug, not one to be easily deterred, continued his tirade. “You’re playing with fire, lady. This land is mine now, and there’s
nothing you can do about it.
Amid the escalating conflict, a young boy with fire in his eyes stood in front of Lisa. “Leave my mom alone! We won’t go
anywhere!”

The thug, with a callous sneer, dismissed the boy. “Kid, you’re in way over your head.”
Undeterred by the thug’s intimidating demeanor, the boy squared his shoulders, defiance burning in his gaze. “I don’t care! You
can’t just come in here and take everything away from us!
“Boy, I’m warning you, if you don’t get out of my way, I’m going to wipe the floor with you.”
“Don’t talk to my son like that!” Lisa yells. The boy doesn’t hesitate. He does not move from his place and looks straight into the
eyes of the man.
“I won’t let you steal my parents’ business.”
The thug, fueled by anger and arrogance, takes a menacing step forward, attempting to intimidate the courageous boy. “You’re
making a big mistake, kid. This place is mine, and there’s nothing your mom can do about it.”
Lisa, fueled by maternal protectiveness, steps closer to her son. “You won’t lay a finger on my child, and you certainly won’t take
away what Mike and I built together.”
The atmosphere in the restaurant becomes charged with tension, and bystanders anxiously await the next move. The thug,
undeterred, sneers at the boy. “Last chance, kid. Move or regret it.”
The boy, defiant and resolute, holds his ground. “We’re not going anywhere.”
The thug, unaccustomed to facing such resistance, clenches his fists, ready to escalate the situation. The air becomes thick with
anticipation, waiting for the storm to break.
Unable to bear witness to the distressing scene any longer, Sandro and Sophia felt a surge of anger. The injustice unfolding
before them fueled a fire within.
Sandro clenched his fists, his normally amiable demeanor replaced by a steely resolve. “This is outrageous. I am going to put an
end to it.”

Sophia, her eyes narrowing with determination, agreed. “I am coming with you.”
Their shared frustration propelled them into action. With resolute steps, they approached the escalating conflict, ready to
confront the thug and protect Lisa and her son from further harm.
Sandro, with a determined expression, reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. “You better leave now, or we’re calling
the police. This is no way to resolve a dispute.”
Sophia, standing firm beside Sandro, added, “You can’t just bully people out of their property. The law will decide this, not threats
and intimidation.”
The thug, glancing nervously at the united front of Sandro and Sophia, weighed his options. The potential consequences of legal
action seemed to dawn on him, and without uttering a word, he made a hasty exit, disappearing into the chaotic city streets.
Sandro shook his head, watching the thug retreat. “Some people think they can bulldoze their way through everything.”
Lisa sighs and grabs Sophia and Sandro’s hands. Her eyes, filled with gratitude, met theirs. “Thank you, Sandro and Sophia. I

appreciate your help.”
Sandro offered a reassuring smile. ” We’re here for you, Lisa. No one should have to go through something like this. Lisa sighed
heavily. “It’s a mess. Ever since Mike passed away, everything’s been turned upside down.”
Curiosity etched on their faces, Sophia and Sandro sat down with Lisa, eager to understand the details of the tangled situation.
“I thought Mike’s will was straightforward,” Lisa began. “He left everything to our kids. But then his brother shows up, claiming
there’s a new will that gives him most of the property. I don’t believe it for a second. Mike wouldn’t do that to our children.”
Sandro’s expression hardened.” Sounds like a real piece of work, that brother of his.”
Lisa nodded, frustration evident in her voice. “You have no idea. He’s been making life hell for us, threatening to take the
restaurant, the home, everything.”
Sophia leaned forward, concern etched on her face. “Have you considered legal action? If the will is fake, you might have a
case.”
Lisa sighed again. “I want to, but I can’t afford a lawyer. And without proper representation, I fear I’ll lose everything.”Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm

The weight of Lisa’s predicament settled heavily on Sophia’s shoulders. The injustice of it all fueled her determination to make
things right.
As they spoke, Lisa’s young son, still brimming with courage, lingered nearby, casting a watchful eye on the conversation.
Sophia couldn’t help but be impressed by the resilience of the boy.
Curiosity piqued, Sophia turned to the young boy. “What’s your name?”
The boy, with a mixture of defiance and shyness, responded, “I’m Jake.”
“How old are you, Jake?” Sophia asked, surprised.
“I’m 14 years old,” he replied.
“You are very brave,” Sophia remarked with a smile.
“I won’t leave mom alone in this. I know our father loved us too much to bequeath everything to my uncle. And it’s not enough
that his death was hard for us; that makes it even worse,” Jake angrily retorted.
Sophia nodded sympathetically. “I can see how important this is to you, Jake. Your determination is truly admirable.”
As Sophia observed the brave resolve in Jake, unspoken thoughts flitted through her mind. This courageous boy bore a striking
resemblance to Alexander, she mused.
Recollections of Alexander sharing snippets of his challenging childhood with his mother surfaced in Sophia’s memory. Driven by
a sense of empathy and understanding, Sophia silently made up her mind to lend a helping hand to Jake and his mother in their
time of need.
Sophia turned to Lisa. “Lisa, I have a friend who’s a lawyer here in Nevada.
I’ll introduce you to him. He’ll help you navigate this legal mess and ensure your rights are protected.”
Relief washed over Lisa’s face. “Sophia, I can’t thank you enough. We’re in your debt.”
Sandro chimed in, “Consider us your allies in this fight. We’ll support you every step of the way.”
Determined to bring justice to Lisa and Jake, Sophia reached for her phone, ready to connect them with the legal help they
desperately needed. The fight against injustice had just gained two more soldiers, and Sophia was resolved to see them through

the battle ahead.
