With teary eyes, Anika continued, “I know you love her, but... | don't want to complicate things or wreck your marriage. | just want to spend tonight with you.” Leonel found it hard to believe.
But when a guy was down, having someone compliant was always appealing. He didn't feel for Anika but he appreciated her docility.
Eventually, he said casually, “Alright, how about you whip up some coffee and give me a shoulder rub?” Anika felt a pang of disappointment at his response but then she figured at least he was sticking around for the night.
