Chapter 239
"She's a mother of three? I couldn't tell at all."
"Yeah. She's still young and gorgeous."
The whispers flooded Patricia's ears, and she clenched her fists as she bit her lips. My babies are the
best things that have happened to me. I won't let this woman call them b*stards. A moment later, she
eased up and shrugged these ladies' mockery off.
She cocked her eyebrow. "Mrs. Aniston, Isaac likes me because I have children. My kids are cute, and
that's why he realized I'm cute too. So what if I'm a mother of three? Still won't change the fact that he
likes me. Even if you go on a rampage."
The ladies were silenced, as Patricia was right. Even if she wasn't a good woman, they had no right to

to even insult her. The fact that she was brought to this tea party meant the Arnolds recognized her.
On the other hand, Gwen kept saying Patricia snatched her fiancée away, but nobody ever saw her
attending these events. In other words, the Arnolds didn't acknowledge her.
Elizabeth laughed. "Well said. We Arnolds care about personality. You're kind, capable, and you raised
three kids alone. Isaac picked well, and we're all looking forward to you and your kids joining us."
Everyone broke into applause.
Patricia felt smug seeing Gwen go green with envy. She wasn't Isaac's girlfriend, and she only came
with Elizabeth because she asked her to. Still, she would take being Isaac's fake girlfriend anyday if
she could shame Gwen.
Elizabeth asked, "Who brought her here? Did she pay the fee?"
Angie raised a reluctant hand up. "I did. She's my cousin. Gwen has been begging me to take her
along. I paid the fee."
Ah, so she paid the fee, not Gwen. This woman has no right to be here at all then.
Everyone took their seats and started enjoying their snacks and tea.
Patricia sat down beside Elizabeth. A tea sommelier was making tea for them elegantly.
Elizabeth pointed at one of the snacks. "This one's alright. Take some, Patricia."
Patricia picked one and had a bite. The flavor of rose exploded in her mouth, but it was fresh and had
just the right amount of sweetness.
A lot of the ladies came to exchange name cards with her, but Patricia had no name card, so she
added them on Messenger. She had a feeling knowing these ladies would give her a leg up in the
future. Once she graduated from the academy, she could open up a workshop, and these ladies could

Patricia had a lot of tea and snacks. This is a special kind of gathering.
The ladies told her these flowers could keep their skin fair and smooth.
She told Elizabeth, "I'll have to use the bathroom, Elizabeth."
Elizabeth nodded. "Turn right after you leave the greenhouse. The toilet's right there."
Patricia nodded. "Okay." She got up and went for the exit. When she went past the forget-me-nots, she
saw Courtney plucking the flowers and handing them to a servant.
"Congratulations, Patricia. Isaac is a lot better than Zachary."
Most mothers would think their sons were the best of the best. Courtney only said that because she
wanted Patricia to leave her son alone.
Patricia had always been grateful for the Selwyns' help, especially Zachary's. He lent her and her
children a hand when they needed it most, and she extended that gratitude back to his family as well.
