Chapter 5626

Antigonus saw Circe's every move.

He smiled to himself at the sight of her hiding not far away, and pretended not to know

anything as he stood there waiting. Since she was trying to test him, he would have some

fun with her.

Just then, a growl blared from deep in the woods. Antigonus turned to look and saw two

enormous figures charging over at the speed of lightning.

They were, of course, the Wind Spirit Wolves.

The Wind Spirit Wolves were the most commonly-sighted creatures in the Nine Continents,

often living in packs. They were about ten to fifteen meters long, and their powers were

around the Martial Saint level.

The two wolves were a whopping thirty meters long, covered in white fur that was soft as

silk. Their eyes glinted murderously like silver knives, and they radiated a murderous aura.

Their powers were in the Heaven Ascension stage. 2

The Langes kept these wolves as pets for almost a hundred years, and their powers were

far stronger than others of their kind.

Just then, the wolves' gazes zeroed in on Antigonus. They let out a series of howls,

charging forward as they pounced with their razor-sharp claws.

Their paws slashed through the air, emitting blue sparks that enveloped the area within a

hundred-meter radius of them with lightning bolts. Anyone struck by the bolts were sure to

be fatally wounded, and anyone else would have panicked instantly.

Antigonus was hardly afraid, but he put on a fearful expression just to put on a show for

Circe as she pretended to turn and run.

Of course, Antigonus did not summon his Fiend soul energy as he escaped.

Whew!

Circe's expression grew solemn at the sight. She took out a beautifully-crafted jade flute.

The flute was used to discipline spirit wolves, and they would stop attacking at the sound

of it.

Circe was in no hurry. She wanted to see if 'Beka' had any hidden powers-powers that

would protect him from the Wind Spirit Wolves with no issue.

If that was not the case, she would blow the flute.

Antigonus' speed was no match for the lightning bolts without his Fiend soul energy, and it

was not long before he was struck by one of them as he slowed down immediately.

Just then, the Wind Spirit Wolves had reached him as well. They clawed at Antigonus'

shoulder, tearing long gashes into his skin. All at once, fresh blood sprayed through the air

and painted the ground crimson.

Antigonus was in a state of grave danger.

What...

Circe bit her lip at the sight from afar, pondering to herself.

Had the man been telling the truth after all?

He could not even face up against two Wind Spirit Wolves. How could he be capable of

making the Mouse Sect men disappear?

Circe did not spare a moment at the thought, picking up her flute. However, the sight

before her made her tremble in shock.

All that could be seen was that the Wind Spirit Wolves' ferity had seemed to completely

vanish at the sight of blood. They lay on the ground quietly before Antigonus, meek as

cats.

Was she seeing things?

Circe stood where she was, taking in the sight before her with a dazed expression.

She knew the wolves like the back of her hand, and she knew that they would be

uncontrollable for sure at the slightest whiff of blood. However, they had suddenly become

so obedient and meek. It was truly baffling.

What Circe did not know was that the two Wind Spirit Wolves were deterred by Antigonus'

Fiend race blood.

Fiend race blood had a taming effect on all spirit beasts. The Four Congenial Beasts were

not immune to it, let alone two Wind Spirit Wolves.

Whew!

Circe returned to her senses after more than ten seconds had passed. She put her flute

away and hurried over.

Sensing that, Antigonus knelt down immediately to stroke the wolves' heads as he said in

a comforting tone, "Be nice, don't attack people as you please..."
