Chapter 5578
A fierce battle had broken out, and only a few soldiers had managed to escape alive. The
rest had been killed by the Garans, and they had chased the remaining survivors all the
way to the Hidden Hero Sect.
Garan?
Just then, Master Magaera and the generals behind him recognized the Garans as their
brows knitted in shock.
How had Garans appeared here out of nowhere?
"Lowly beasts!"
Quickly enough, Master Magaera returned to his senses as he hovered in mid-air, roaring
at the Garans. "Why aren't you bowing?"
A powerful aura radiated from Master Magaera as he spoke, rippling through the air.
Normal Garans would be on the ground bowing by now if they were to sense such energy.
Yet these were feral
Garans, and they flared up in fury instead of fear at Master Magaera's aggression.
The Garans let out a series of howls, their eyes bloodshot as they pounced at the soldiers

The surrounding soldiers could not react in time, and a good number of them were
scratched and wounded as they let out anguished cries.
F*ck, were they feral?
Master Magaera could hardly contain his anger at the sight. He did not waste any time,
roaring loudly, "Take orders.
Wipe these lowly beasts out, and leave no survivors."
"Yes."
The Godly Region soldiers called out at the order, summoning their magic powers as they
charged in the direction of the Garans.
Just then, Ambrose and Heather continued to run as they looked back every now and then,
a little under a hundred meters northwest of the Hidden Hero Sect.
They had not stopped to rest since they had escaped from the mountain, in fear that the
soldiers behind them would catch up.
Whew...
Another few minutes of running later, Ambrose let out a huge breath upon making sure
that there were no soldiers behind them. He slowed his footsteps as his internal energy
had been almost wiped out from the battle earlier, and all that running had only made him
weaker.
Heather, too, was drenched in sweat.
"Brother Ambrose!"
Heather was nothing but worried at the sight of the state that Ambrose was in. "How are
you feeling?"
Ambrose was too tired to even speak. He fell onto the ground in a sitting position, shaking
his head to imply that he was fine.
Heather looked around her, and saw that there was a spring not far away. A few fish could
be seen swimming in the clear waters, and she said immediately, "Brother Ambrose, those
soldiers are caught up with the Garans at the moment and won't make it here in a while.
Let's take a little break here; I'll catch some fish for you from that spring."
She knew that Ambrose had just fought many battles, and had to cultivate and restore. Yet
he had also gone hungry for a long time, and had to eat something.
Alright!

Heather swaddled the baby in the blankets, setting him down by the water before she got
in. The baby had been worn out from the journey in Heather's arms, and was fast asleep
then.
Ambrose sat next to the child, silently cultivating as he sat.
Heather moved incredibly fast, and it was not long before she had caught a good number
of fish before setting up a fire by the spring to grill them.
In the blink of an eye, the fragrance of the cooked fish wafted through the air and filled
the atmosphere.
Ambrose opened his eyes at the smell, his stomach grumbling on cue.
Pfttt...
Heather could not help but giggle at the sight of Ambrose's expression, handing him the
biggest fish. "You must be hungry, Brother Ambrose. Have some fish, and tell me how you
find it." '
Ambrose took the fish, taking a bite. The freshness spread through his mouth, and he
could not help but marvel, "It's wonderful. Fragrant and delicious."
As he spoke, Ambrose stared intently at Heather as he said in a voice full of emotion, "It
truly is my honor to be the one to be by your side, my Heather."
