Chapter 5544
As Laurel spoke, she could not help but tilt her head and look in the main hall's direction
with a peculiar twinkle in her eyes. She said emotionally, "How nice would it be if I'm like
Senior Sister, and I could muster my courage to speak to Sect Master Darby?"
Ah...' Darryl found himself flustered by Laurel's sincere confession. 'Seems like she's also
an admirer of mine.'
Darryl grinned and said, "Actually, there's no need to be nervous. Though Darryl is well-
known throughout the Nine Mainland, he's not aloof and unapproachable."
"Is that true?" asked Laurel as she thought to herself.
Darryl nodded. "Of course! You're inexplicably nervous because you couldn't see Sect
Master Darby's face. When he takes off his gold mask, you'd realize that he's actually very
easygoing."
Darryl had thought about it. 'Given my current condition, it'd be difficult for me to expose
the impersonator. Why don’t I just use Laurel? Once the gold mask is taken off, the
identity of the impersonator would then be exposed.'
"You..." Laurel felt hesitant upon seeing how serious Darryl was. "Why do you know Sect
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtMaster Darby so well?"
'Heh.' Darryl secretly chuckled. Tm Darryl Darby. Of course, I know myself well.'
"My Master and Sect Master Darby are close friends," replied Darryl, scratching his head,
"so it's only natural that I know him."
After that, Laurel did not think further. She frowned and said, "How would I be able to see
Sect Master Darby without his mask?"
Darryl laughed and said meaningfully, "We have to think of a way..."
"We're here!" At that moment, Laurel pointed at the oriental- styled tower in front of them
and smiled. "This is Mount Hua's elixir warehouse. There are many inner cores of the
enchanted beast. Darren, just take however much you need."
Darryl happily followed Laurel in and started picking the inner core of the enchanted
beast.
At Mount Hua's main hall.
Salvatore secretly sighed in relief after seeing Darryl being brought out of the main hall.
'Tch. The trouble-making dude is finally gone. I won't be able to stand it if he were to stay
any longer.'
Then, seeing the sunset outside the main hall, Salvatore cleared his throat and smiled at
Levi. "Sect Master Schwaznero, have you thought about the Bloodwing Battlegear?"
'It's almost at night. I must get the Bloodwing Battlegear as soon as possible so I don't
need to worry about it later.'
'Er...'
Hearing that question, Levi chuckled embarrassedly. 'I truly don't wish to lend him such a
precious treasure. However, he's the hero of the Nine Mainland. I have no idea how to
reject him.'
As Levi was secretly struggling, Audrey walked in.
"Master." Audrey walked up to Levi and her face was filled with flattery. "Junior Sister has
brought that man to the elixir warehouse. I'm afraid there's no one here to serve you, so I
came to serve you both tea."
As Audrey spoke, her eyes were glued to Salvatore.
To her, it was a great honor to be able to serve tea to her idol.
Little did she know, however, that the man beside her was not Darryl.
Seeing Audrey entering, Levi had an idea.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Sect Master Darby." Levi forced a smile and said to Salvatore, "It's getting late now. Why
don't you put up a night at Mount Hua? I'll let you know my decision about the Bloodwing
Battlegear tomorrow morning."
Then, he took a look at Audrey. "Since Audrey is here, she’ll bring you to your room to rest.
How does that sound?"
'I shouldn't act rashly about the Bloodwing Battlegear. I shall gather a few elders to
discuss tonight.'
Immediately, Audrey happily clapped and said, "Great!" If her idol was to put up a night at
Mount Hua, she would have the opportunity to spend time alone with him! How could she
not be happy?
'This...'
Hearing that suggestion, Salvatore's face behind the gold mask looked troubled.
'If I were to put up a night here and my identity gets exposed, the effort that I've put in
would go to waste. Plus, Mount Hua would never let me get away with it!
'On the other hand, I can't find other reasons to make Levi hand the Bloodwing Battlegear
now.'
