Chapter 5473
"Oh. Alright."
Evan returned to his senses as he nodded, calling upon everyone else to leave the room
immediately. His expression soured the second he was outside the hall.
'F*ck, that *sshole thought they were fools, didn't he? Just you wait, Darryl Darby.'
Upon walking for about a hundred meters, Evan slowed his footsteps.
Just then, Martin could not help but pipe up, "Sect Master! Are we really going to just leave
like this? Darryl Darby refuses to come with us, so something's got to be up."
Evan replied impatiently, "Of course I know something's up. It would've been inappropriate
for me to cause a scene considering the situation. Darryl doesn't have much powers, but
Rachelle's internal energy is quite something."
Indeed, the only reason Evan had kept his cool earlier was because of Rachelle's presence.
Martin fell silent as he frowned. "What do we do now?"
Whew...

Evan took a deep breath, casting a glance around him before saying slowly, "How about
this? I'll leave with everyone else for now. You stay here, and tail Darryl and Rachelle in
secret to find out what they're hiding. Remember, don't strike unless you absolutely have
to."
Truthfully, Evan did not want to leave just like that. Unfortunately, everyone was still
injured and could not fight at all. The only thing they could do was to leave Martin behind
to snoop around for intel.
Martin did not hesitate at all, nodding immediately. "Alright. Don't worry, Sect Master. I'll
be sure to be careful." As he spoke, he turned and slinked off in the direction of the main
hall.
Once nearby, Martin did not think twice before hiding behind a tree as he spotted Darryl
and Rachelle still at the door.
Just then, over at the main hall entrance.
Seeing Evan and his men leave, Rachelle bit her lip and said in a confused tone, "Darryl
Darby! Why didn't we just leave with them? We'd be able to take on Prince Auten with
them if we were to run into him.”
Ho ho...
Darryl smiled lightly, speaking slowly as he replied Rachelle.
"The North Sea Galaxy and Heavenly Ocean Sect are up to no good. Did you really think
that they were going to help us take down Prince Auten? They'd be the first to leave us
behind and flee for their lives if that were to happen."
Rachelle knitted her brows at his response. "Well, you still saved them despite knowing
they were all hypocrites."
Just then, Darryl let out a mysterious smile. "Oh, I'm no saint. I didn't save them earlier to
let them go! Think about it. We just escaped right below Prince Auten's nose. There's no
way he isn't going to look high and low for us.
"Under these circumstances, we both won't have anywhere to hide, so we're going to need
the Heavenly Ocean Sect and the North Star Galaxy to draw their attention."
As he spoke, Darryl had an expression of utmost confidence.
'So, that's the case...’
Realization had dawned onto Rachelle as her gaze at Darryl grew unreadable.
Darryl was far too sly. Evan and his men probably still had no idea that they had been
used.

"Let's go!"
Just as Rachelle pondered to herself, Darryl waved her over and headed northwest.
Rachelle stopped short before hurrying forward. She could not help but ask, 'What are you
trying to do, Darryl Darby?"
She was injured, and he did not have any powers. Were they doomed if they stayed there?
Darryl smiled, still keeping the answer to himself. "You'll find out soon."
Seeing him like that, Rachelle did not bother asking more.
What they did not realize was a pair of eyes spying on them from a little under a hundred
meters away behind a tree.
It was none other than Martin.
Seeing that the paid had headed off to one of the side halls, Martin's gaze flashed as the
corners of his mouth ticked up in a cruel smirk.
'Of course Darryl had something up his sleeve, distracting us on purpose the way he did.
Thank goodness the Sect Master had the wisdom to keep me behind to spy on them, or
they'd be played well and truly.’
At the thought, Martin cast a glance around him. Upon making sure that there was no one
else, he slipped forward.
