Chapter 4828
At the order, the rest of the men surged forwards, tying Darryl up in no time.
“Hey, hey. Watch it..."
Darryl wanted nothing more than to fight back then. Unfortunately, his magical skills were
not accessible at the moment, and all he had was the brute force of his unfortunate mortal
body.
Unable to hold off so many people, all he could do was struggle while yelling, "You've
really got the wrong guy!"
Slap!
Just as his words rang through the air, the leader landed another slap onto Darryl's head
as he roared, "Shut up, you!"
As he spoke, he waved a hand, signaling for everyone to head back to the town in the
distance with Darryl in tow.
Motherf*cker!
Darryl was truly speechless.
Just his luck, right? First, his powers were locked up, and then he was mistaken for the
wrong person. Upon thinking it through, could he... Could he look like the Derrick they
spoke about?

Darryl did not speak on the way back, but he figured out the gist of what was going on
through eavesdropping on what the people around him were saying.
They were the servants of the Stanford family, and the leader of the group was Gerald
Sonn. He was the head butler of the Stanfords.
The town in the distance was called Hidden Dragon Town, and the Stanfords were one of
the most prevalent families in the town. The daughter of Old Master Stanford was a
beautiful lady named Selina, with looks that would make anyone swoon, yet she had been
diagnosed with a terrible disease half a year ago.
Old Master Stanford had combed the ends of the earth looking for a doctor, but none of
them had been able to find a cure. In the end, a wandering priest tended to her, and he
told Old Master Stanford that he would have to marry her to a poor man of a lower class to
have the slightest chance at extending her lifespan a few more years.
With no other option, Old Master Stanford could only listen to the priest's words and put
up a notice seeking such a son-in-law. Unfortunately, the news of Selina's illness had
spread across the town by then, and no one wanted to marry a dying woman.
In the end, Old Master Stanford had no choice but to seek out Derrick Darby.
Derrick was an orphan, and he had never been to school. He spent his days lazing around
doing nothing before eventually getting addicted to gambling. He was hardly seen outside
of a betting room, and he ended up getting into a huge debt. It was Old Master Stanford
paying off that debt for him that made him marry into the Stanfords.
Last night, Derrick had been unable to resist the temptation of gambling once again, and
he slipped off quietly. He had been missing since then, causing Old Master Stanford many
problems before he finally sent out Gerald and the rest to go searching for him.
It was also by pure coincidence that Darryl did, in fact, look quite like Derrick. Gerald and
his men had not been able to find Derrick but found Darryl instead and had thus hauled
him back, thinking he was Derrick.
What frustrated Darryl even more was that he was not in the Nine Continents.
There was definitely a world outside of the Nine Continents, and Darryl had once landed in
a place called the Roland Continent through a chaotic void. He was in the Cryolet
Continent, another realm of humanity altogether. 3
Motherf*cker!
Having learned so, Darryl was close to tears with helplessness.
Just his luck.
He had not only not returned to the Nine Continents, but he had also gotten captured and
mistaken for someone else.
Gerald and the rest quickly brought Darryl back to the Stanford household.

Darryl could not help his gasp at the sight before him. It was truly a rich man's house.
All he could see was acres of land that stretched beyond sight, complete with hills and
rivers that made for a breathtaking scenery. Every view was memorable, and the entire
place radiated with a quiet elegance.
They reached the main lobby in no time. All that could be seen sitting in the grand hall
was an old, graying man clad in luxurious clothing. He had friendly features, but was wore
an expression of great ferocity.
It was none other than Old Master Stanford.
Gerald strode forward quickly and bowed. "Old Master! We found Derrick! I'm positive that
the bastard snuck out to gamble last night, and he hid in one of the hills in town in fear
that you would punish him."
Old Master Stanford could hardly contain his anger as he roared at Darryl," You're truly
good for nothing, Derrick Darby! Do you remember what you promised me? You said you'd
never gamble again! Where were you last night, then? We've had so many people go
looking for you, too."
Old Master Stanford was beyond angry then. If it had not been for his daughter's terrible
illness, he would have never sought out such a useless man to be his son-in-law. 4 What a
disgrace.
